Overall great resort, have been for 20 years and will be coming back for 20 more! Could not recommend enough

Have enjoyed skiing at all the SkiWelt resorts, but Ellmau is a particular favorite. Nice mix of terrain for different levels of skier (not so much for advanced), great restaurant selection, fast lifts and gondolas, easy access point to Scheffau, Going, Brixen-in-Thal, many convenient housing options (hotels, boutique establishments, AirBnB, etc.). And all for a really good price.

Lovely resort but some of the ski lifts are a little outdated. Sometimes they struggle to keep on top of the mountains but not sure if it's difficult weather conditions to keep on top of them? The restaurants are quaint. Didn't feel like a British destination as they weren't very fluent in English compared to some other resorts in Austria.

Love Ellmau. Have holidayed here with large family group many times. Lovely quiet village, giving easy access to Hartkieser.

Brilliant value for money. Great range of slopes, particularly good selection of runs for beginners. Lots of great accommodation and food options! Would recommend!

Good fast access to the slopes Well groomed pistes, though quite short runs. Good connection to other parts of the ski welt. Strong feelings of travelling around, the 3 valleys but lower, quieter and lots of piste side restaurants that you can afford to eat at and dont need to book!. Good snow making infrastructure,

Great place to ski, amazing staff on the mountain. Spent 1 season in Ellmau, having the connections to ski all of SkiWelt is brilliant. Fantastic to be able to ski in the biggest interconnected ski area in the whole of Austria. Great for families, great walks with fantastic views of the Wilder Kaiser. Snow was good, apres on the mountain always possible as there was a ski run down so could always miss the last lift down and still get home. For the resort of Ellmau, lots of things to do for families, sleigh rides possible, amazing restaurants. Best restaurant was Memory Ellmau - Italian restaurant famed for its pizzas with a stellar list of celebrities who have visited the restaurant. Would always recommend to anyone wanting a good value for money holiday, but avoid Full Board and get an apartment so you can enjoy the restaurants on offer - my opinion.

A great resort for all skiers and snowboarders of all abilties. The skiwelt is vast interlinking the runs and lifts from other villages so you never get bored of the same runs. The lifts are fantastic with few drag lifts! There is an abundance of smaller mountain huts and bars rather than the concrete monstrosities found in france. It means youcan stop at will and enjoy drinks and snacks to break up the day. Ps it is also worth knowing that Austrian food portions are massive and therefore great value to share. Definitely recommended.
