Bad Kleinkirchheim is a fantastic quiet ski resort. The ski area isn’t massive but offers a good mix of red runs and more challenging slopes, making it ideal for mixed-ability groups. The lifts are mixed modern and old but it’s such a quiet resort that there aren’t any queues which made it great. The views across the Nockberge mountains are stunning but the slopes in the sun were lacking in fresh snow and are mainly from the snow cannons. The town is charming with plenty of cozy restaurants and one of the main attractions are these thermal spas with about 13 different saunas annd steam rooms in each. We didn’t really see any great apres places so not the best if you’re looking for that.

We spent a week here before Christmas. The snow was awful, probably down to a lack of altitude. The piste wasn’t very well maintained. Not many places to stay and not a lot of choice for food as it is a very small resort. Probably good for young families and beginners.
