Excellent resort - not the cheapest around, hence only 4 stars, but the ski area is varied enough to move around each day and have a lot of variety over the week. Would reccomend.

Only visited for a few days for a change of scenery from the Zillertal valley.
The wide open, gentle and uncrowded slopes would be perfectly suited to beginners and intermediates who need their confidence levels increased. The panoramic views in and around Achensee are fabulous, winter and summer.
Plenty of walks and other activities if not skiing/boarding and good fireworks display at New year
The lift system is efficient for the area it serves and the hospitality in the numerous bars/ restaurants is really good, with plenty of smiley faces - great for young and old alike

The ski resort is great it is pretty small, but a bit of a snow hole even with it not beeing that high it is colder and often has colder temperatures and more snow than higher resorts. It unfortunately doesn't really have a funpark anymore. But if there is enough snow they have a halfpipe. There is very little backountry terrain, but a few mogules. It is a great resort for familys because it is not very expensive, but has all you need.
