Family-friendly Ski Resort with well-kept terrain for all skill levels. There are no line ups during the week, and the gondola move things along nicely on the weekends. The smaller mountain is a nice easy/intermediate area that usually has the best snow and few people. Resonable prices and cheap membership. Good chalet with friendly bar, some good tunes playing sometimes. Magog and Orford have some nice shops, pubs, and restaurants. Nice place to stay if you're spending some time in the Townships.

Went touring at Orford a couple of weeks ago. Beautiful day, snowy, nice paths. Lovely. I guess the only thing would be one route was closed so we could only go down a very specific way.

Had great verticals, more advanced trails and was overall pretty good and the beer was pretty cheap as well. Top of the mountain had tons of powder and beautiful views

The view is amazing, im not yet very good so i didn't try the expert slopes or off terrain, but i saw so many people going trought the forest, making jumps, etc. I love that the chair lift is over a double diamond slope you get a little show on your way up:))Overall very good day, parking was easy, cafeteria was fast and had good food, and there was little to no wait for the chair lift. And the view when you go down is insane

It is a great hill, with quality snow and a great community surrounding it! I would attend the hill 3-4 times per week, and would be satisfied by the conditions each time!

This is the mountain where I learned to snowboard and I always love going back. Lots of variety in the difficulty of runs, opportunities to sneak into the woods, and a handful of runs far away from the hustle and bustle of the chalet. Looking forward to going back again soon!

Great Hill, great snowmaking, lots of variance in pitch and length of runs. Highest run has some great views spend a few minutes to take a few pictures, and then challenge yourself on some fairly steep runs to get down. A couple really nice groomer runs that you can cruise through on edge.

Mont Orford is by far my favorite place to ski as my family doesn't go on many ski trips. I love the affordability of the accommodation and the lift tickets but by far the best part about it is the vibe you get from the locals. They all seem like they know the place so well and that makes it very nice when you need to rely on directions and tips for skiing the mountain. My favorite run at Mont Orford is the 4km run because my family uses as a relaxing fun ride but I can still make the most of it using the fun little side runs and the blue glade that runs off the mid section of it. A few years ago, my dad and I rented some touring skis and hiked up the mountain. We then realized where the true fun in skiing is, as I like to say "Earn your turns" because it shows how much each second of downhill is worth when you work so hard to get up. We obviously skied down the 4km run after the long tour up the mountain because in my opinion that is the most "bang for your buck" run on the mountain (as it is the longest). A big factor for my family in deciding where to ski is the accommodation. Mont Orford definitely ticks that box off with their cute Red triangular houses with wood furnaces located near the Parc National Mont Orford.
Overall, Mont Orford should be a bucket list slope for you and your family to enjoy. Definitely reccomend!
PS: mix coke and lemonade in the cafeteria for a delicious mid day drink... (unless you want some hot cocoa)
Hope to see you this year Orford!

Orford is a great local mountain that services most of the Sherbrooke greater area. Home to some steep groomers as well as some technical tree runs, it is a great option for a 25 minute drive from Sherbrooke. One area where Orford can struggle is with snow coverage, many glade runs are closed for most of the season and some years will not open at all. It is a great local mountain, however I would recommend another option in the area if you are looking for some east coast pow.
