What Skiers Say About Glen Eden

Glen Eden is a small, local ski hill near Toronto used primarily by beginners, intermediates, and families for quick day trips or evening sessions. Reviewers consistently mention its proximity to the city, well-maintained terrain park, and efficient lifts with minimal wait times outside peak hours. The limited vertical drop and short runs mean advanced skiers and snowboarders find it repetitive, though the park is praised. Icy conditions are common, particularly in evenings, and the resort lacks snow reliability due to its southern Ontario location. Crowding occurs during evenings and weekends, with long lift queues and difficulty finding seating in lodges.

Super tame hill with limited runs. If its close then its worth it but its definitely nothing special. Better off driving a few extra hours to blue mountain or beaver valley

Glen eden is a wonderful little ski hill. Great time for a quick afternoon ski trip. It is a great place to hang out with friends or to spend a day with the family. The lifts are so quick, you can get all the runs in you need in a short time.

Need more places to stop and eat or grab a drink. Still confused on if you can even get a beer anywhere. Slopes are nice but gets over crowded after 7 pm everyday of the week

Great hill to learn on, not a lot of room for progression. The blacks are nice but the runs are short, lift times are little to none though so you can be at the top of a run and on a lift back up in under 3 minutes.

Glen eden is pretty good. There is no other bills nearby Toronto unless your willing to drive over an hour. Glen eden had a decent amount of runs with a few good black diamond hills(2). They also feature a very good terrain park which grows more and more throughout the season. Making you want to go back again and again. The food is expensive but is really good (15-20$) per mead. Overall for the price point you can really get your value. I would mostly reccomend this hill to beginner/intermediate skiers to get better on or just to have a good time at for a good price

A smaller resort that is very much family friendly. For the location, its good. There are a decent amount of runs with two chairlifts and two carpet lifts. A LOT OF WALKING!! The resort is spread out over a large portion of property with walking being your only option. From the main parking lot, you take an elevator or stairs up to the hill, then you can either walk to the east or west lodge. Neither chalet sells alcohol, and the only food options are quick and not so good. The majority of times, I am unable to find seating in the main chalet that serves food. The lift lines have very long waits in the evenings, its not uncommon to wait 5 minutes to get on (which is a long time for how big the hill is). I also do not recommend going in the evenings because it turns into pure ice, which is no fault of their own, however makes it unenjoyable. I did a private snowboard lesson through their snow school and it was great, their instructors are polite and know how to teach well! Overall, for the location, the resort is good, but a bit of a farther drive will get you a better bang for your buck.

Great little local resort with some blues and blacks. It mainly good for their terrain park. Its a day trip kind of vibe because there is no village or accommodation. For beers, its parking lot style!

Glen is a great family friendly resort. Amazing place to learn how to ski or snowboard. Quite boring if you're already familiar with either sport. I go here for a quick little night ski sometimes.

As a new snowboarder, this has been a great place to come learn.
Only downside for me is the ski patrol guys who yelled at me on my very first time getting on the lift. Very uninviting and made me question even being there. Not a great experience from him at all.

Relatively empty, lots of space, located in an area where theres other stuff to do like ice skating, etc. Mountains are pretty steep and a good amount of trails. Not as advanced as places like BC that are known for mountains, but a fun run.

A small ski resort. Best for beginners and intermediates. Freestyle Park is fun but short. More experienced riders will get bored here.

Glen eden is a small hill but my personal favourite. If you know when the right time to go is, you can get in a lot of runs and have a lot of fun. Where glen eden excels the most is in the terrain park. When it finally does open for the season it is exceptional. Staff are always keeping all the lips clean and the shorter height of the hill allows you to get lots of laps and session any feature you want. The local people especially in the park are a great community to be around similar to a local skate park. Now for the downsides. Unfortunately due to where its located, the weather and conditions arent always great meaning there is often some icy days and usually a shorter season length. On top of this it is located quite close to toronto which can sometimes cause it to get very crowded with people who have no idea what they are doing. If you can plan to be there when it isnt packed and the weather is decent (usually you can only have one) you can have a great time at glen eden.
