Alpine Valley is a fantastic place if you are looking for a little taste of the alps but are trapped in the midwestern USA. Not much vertical feet, but they make up for it with fantastic guest services & lessons, adorable accommodations, and the best terrain park in the region.

Pretty good skiing for Midwest. Long nice runs, easy access and great ski school. Nice big lodge with good food options. Great weekend trip from chicago!
