timberline is a smaller resort with 24 runs. What it lacks in size it certainly makes up for in the care that is put into the maintenance. Timberline has mounted snow guns on almost every slope. I went there on December 12th 2023 and they had nearly all of their runs open all except the double black diamonds. At this time no other ski resort around was even open. Timberline is my personal favorite skiing destination on the east coast that I have visited.

This resort is quaint and quiet, it is primarily a local mountain however with recent reparations to the hill, a spike in crowds from the DC area have started to venture to Timberline. Not much is on the hill in terms of apres but the town of Davis is less than 10 minutes away. Overall this is a great local and family-friendly mountain.
