Reviews

Canaan Valley has the best slopes for beginners and advanced skiers. Long runs for the newbies and double black diamonds for the advanced and thrill seekers. Great lodging, there some awesome cabins close to the slopes that are very nice and affordable. Nothing like sitting in a hot tub with a head covered in snow. I have been to Canaan Valley about 5 times now and it has never disappointed us. Out of those 5 trips we always had heavy snow falls to the point that I had to leave my 4-runner at the bottom of the cabins and ride up to our cabin in the back of a truck with chains on the tires. Cabin rental took good care of us. Slopes every morning had fresh powder as opposed to other resorts in the nearby area where you ski on ice and not snow!! Great place in the southeast region to ski in the state of West Virginia!!!

My experience with This resort is very mediocre, based on all my experiences with the neighboring resort timberline takes much better care to ensure that you will have a good day skiing the east.
