Amazing place if you are a advanced skier looking for the steep and technical terrain. Their back sides mineral basin have some of the best powder runs. You will find gates to double black runs everywhere from top to bottom.

Some of the most consistently awesome powder. Snowbird is such an amazing mountain when theres fresh snow, and utah is per reliable for that.

When I qualified more as an expert skier, I would usually head to Snowbird. The expert terrain is top notch and on powder days, the ability to find untracked snow is exceptional.

Snowbird is not for the faint of heart. There are some easier areas to ski, but it is mostly steep and deep. Having 11 lifts and the Tram makes getting around Snowbird easy and fun. The traffic can get backed up in the canyon due to how there are no reservations for parking at Snowbird and on powder days you might spend 2 hours on the road before ever getting boots on, but the snow is amazing and the steeps are so much fun.

Love snowbird, so much powder and so many possible runs that theres no way to do them all. Decently busy, but not too bad. 5 stars.

Great for advanced to expert skiers. Some of the most extreme terrain you can find. Not too far from salt lake but the canyon can be a pain. Might get stuck up at snowbird for a few days if interlodge goes into effect. Hard to find easy beginner terrain and a little tougher to learn there. But they have one of the best ski school in the country! My favorite resort because of the challenging terrain and the best snow on earth!

I skied two days at Snowbird. The first day had pretty variable snow conditions. The back side was choppy and glazed over, so it wasn't great, though the terrain looked great if you can get a powder day on it. Gad 2 had some great tree runs and the groomers were good from top to bottom. Upper Cirque also maintained some good snow if you can handle the steeps. The second day had bad weather so only like a quarter of the mountain was open. The powder and terrain was great though. We stayed in salt lake City, which gave us plenty of options to find a house, lots of dining options, etc. It also made the trip a bit cheaper than staying at a resort. I would definitely go back.

Snowbird or Jackson for all-around excellent skiing; top notch for off-piste/powder, groomers, awesome for all seasons including spring/summer skiing. Great variety of terrain, grooming, and lift services for most levels of skiers. The lodge is a great place to stay for the design/art savvy and the pools are amazing; how many ski resorts have a rooftop pool in an alpine valley? Little to none experience with ski school, or rental gear. Great that they have an adaptive ski program. Access and parking are already a touchy issue and positive solutions are.away away. The free bus service that is included with season passes is a huge bonus!
