Love Beech Mtn. Very friendly atmosphere and affordable. Lifts lines are generally within 5 min wait. Food options aren't great. Look for the Mexican food truck on the side.

Good but no weekend pass which is a killer for those who dont want the full season pass. Only a weekday and full pass.

Beech mountain is good for what it is to be in South Carolina considering we never get any snow and for any type of skier and snowboarder, its a descent place to go for a little quick getaway. The pros of beech mountain is that they do have nice slopes for your base beginners all the way to your more intermediate to advanced snowboarders and skiers. The hills are well taken care of and there are good options of where and how you want to ride. The two restaurants that are on sight of the ski area are also good along with the chair lifts being decently efficient and quick. In my opinion, the biggest cons I see are definitely the crowds. Beech mountain only has 3 main hills to snowboard and ski along with one to two beginner hills at the bottom with a terrain park. While they are great to ride, they also get crowded very easily and , in my opinion, cant accommodate the crowd levels that are being reached. Which leads to my next con is that there is also not enough parking available. Beech mountain has 3 open lots in proximity of the ski area but are filled by the afternoon mostly during peak season. I went to snowboard beech just last week and showed up around 10:15 and all three lots were already full causing people to park ways away from the ski area. One thing I could say that would be great to manage this issue is that there needs to be a cut off ticket purchase for customers at a certain point so the ski area can comfortably hold everyone. Likewise, the other con still pertains to crowd levels but the chair lift lines are also pretty unorganized and big crowds causes them to be which makes it easier for others to cut in line. In conclusion, I think beech mountain is a descent ski area when crowd levels are moderate but if you dont like huge amounts of people, especially for beginners, then beech mountain might not be the best experience.
