Great place to ski! Affordable and very friendly people. The culture here is amazing and I will definitely be back. Everyone is very responsible and are looking out for each other. Slopes well groomed and there are slopes here for everyone at every level. The bunny slopes are one of the best Ive seen. Great area to practice as a beginner. They really get you prepared for the trails on the mountain. On my first day of my trip I started on the bunny slope and by the third day I was running blues! Great place to learn how to sk if youre new and anxious about getting on the slopes. Everyone is looking out for you especially as a beginner. Ive been so many friends on the way who stayed by my side through it all. Many people just in to make sure you ok. One the safest slopes yet. 10/10 recommend!!

Overall a great mountain to visit when in Southern Colorado. The snow is usually a bit better at Wolf Creek, but I think Purgatory is a better mountain overall. There's something for everyone there. Food us a bit overpriced, as is the case in most places nowadays. Powders days on the back side of the mountain are amazing!

Great family friendly resort. A lot of good runs for every level. The bar at the top of a mountain serves good cold beer

I am a beginner Snowboarder, And this is a great small town resort with lovely amenities around the surrounding areas. Lovely scenery in southwestern Colorado some of the most beautiful sites in the whole United States. However, The smaller lift areas could be less crowded and better organized, but overall good accommodations and food. Lodging and basic amenities might have to be found about 30 minutes away in the nearby town. This ski resort is also lovely because it provides opportunities for people with disabilities and those wanting to try out skiing/snowboarding with many volunteer instructors from the neighboring town who are all kind and friendly. Lovely staff and lovely people. A little pricey for the average working class person, And I am a school teacher. Average working class around this area or unable to really ski or learn how to ski because of the pricing. Overall, everything is great, even the price because skiing is very expensive at the sport.

Purgatory Ski Resort offers stunning mountain views, diverse slopes for all levels, and a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. With activities like snow tubing and Nordic skiing, its a well-rounded winter destination, though nightlife and dining options are limited.

Just started Alpine skiing last year. I have gone past Purgatory my whole life to get to the Nordic center for cross country skiing.
I finally am skiing it on downhill skis! The resort lends itself to a great learning progression. I have had friends to guide me, but I highly recommend the ski instruction available on the mountain. It is a little bit of a flatter mountain once you become more advanced. There are excellent powder pockets and tree runs if you know where to go. Its an awesome local spot with far less traffic than comparable east slope Colorado resorts.

True locals mountain, offering weekday season passes and payment plans for the paycheck to paycheck crowd (me). Lots of diversity of terrain, ample snow and lots of sunshine!

A great place for tree runs especially if you know a local You tend to do a lot of traversing at purg so knowing your way and making short cuts just make the riding that much better..
