It was my first time snowboarding. Great experience and fun crew. They taught well, the friends that came, also inexperienced, were all running the greens by end of the weekend. The more experienced friends were doing all the larger runs. Plenty of variety for new and experienced skiers and snowboarders.

Amazing for beginners and for advanced riders. Something for everyone. Chets dream high speed lift allows you to do fast laps. The upper bowls are amazing. And snowcat skiing

This resort was great during the weekdays - not overcrowded and most lifts still open. Powder was perfect and slopes groomed. There was a surplus of variety in levels of terrain allowing me and my friend to ski to our hearts intent. My only complaint was a locker mixup where our wallets got removed by another patron.

Family run ski area that makes you feel like a local. More affordable than the big mountains and amazing terrain.

Skied loveland for years with a season pass. We live in Denver so it's the nearest and quickest option to ski - we can drop the kids at school in Denver, be in Loveland in an hour, ski all day and be back to pick them up at 3.30. Perfect. The lift lines are tiny, so you can get a lift and ski the run back to the lift base to do it all again in 15 min average each time. Peak 8 is generally the last to open and the best. A small old school mountain with no accomodation and a lot of locals. Love it! Because Loveland ski area is before the tunnel you miss all the hecticness of going over the pass / through the tunnel and then the huge downhill after to A basin or Keystone. Yes loveland is small but it's got a unique feel and unlike nearly everything else its still independent and not part of Vail resorts.

loveland has areas for all levels of riders, and a large mountain area to spread out and explore. great restaurants are spotted around and the lifts are quick and efficient more greens are available at loveland valley, about 5 minutes down the road from the main resort. a very intermediate heavy area but with options for all terrain. ski rentals very easy.

Loveland is a bit of a hidden gem. Its small but there is plenty of challenging terrain. It isnt the best beginner area but is a great advanced mountain. Skiing there is like it used to be before skiing became overpriced resort experiences.

I hate telling people about Loveland because it is a quiet gem. But it is one of the best places I have ever skied, and some extra business wouldn't hurt that.

Loveland was brilliant, they offer a beginners pass for around $50 which gets you access to only the beginner slope. But honestly; it felt like the blue runs on A-Basin at times! Only gripe, the ski lift is great but quite hard to get off, its very fast and quite a drop if you missed the slope. For saying its a beginner area, thats the only negative.

Loveland is the place for ski purest. It is all about the ski and not the Apres. There are some challenging expert slopes and an entire area, if all you want to do is groomers. Loveland is quick and easy access from I70. And if you are looking for great skiing on a budget....This is for you.

Loveland ski resort is pretty dope when it comes to snowboarding in general. The have fast lifts so the is no waiting on a long lift and waiting in a long line. It is close and convenient to people commuting from the city. They hold lots of events and have good food and is really just a good all around ski resort

Tried this resort out last season, will definitely be returning, this ski area offers amazing runs with great lift efficiency, there are runs for all skill levels. The views at the tallest runs are some of the best. The runs through the trees offer some beautiful winter scenery. For the price I dont think it gets much better, I wasnt able to ski here on pow day so I cant speak for that, but over all, I would highly recommend this resort, especially considering its proximity to major cities like Denver, Boulder, etc.

A lovely independent resort (not Ikon or Epic affiliated) with empty lift lines even on the busiest of days. The skiiable area feels pretty massive and there is a ton of variety of terrain, including snowcat access to places the lift cant take you. The Basin is the main area but the Valley acts as a sort of private beginner area so people still learning don't have to feel any pressure on the main slopes, and a bus goes between the two areas often. There is no lodging and limited food options on the resort its self, but it is also only an hour from Denver without traffic and it is before the Eisenhower tunnel so you can avoid the wintertime traffic nightmare west of the tunnel. My overall impressions of the resort is that everyone at the resort is just happy, and they have every reason to be since they get to spend their day at a beautiful resort with beautiful terrain.

Loveland is cool because it has two options you have valley/beginner, then Basin/interm, expert. Also if you get a season pass they also do cheaper snowcats, but Basin gas a lot to do, and has many challenging features. Plus some areas to get to a crtain part under the rooes has a great quick ungroomed runs. Totally worth it, and always fun you and the whole family

Amazing ski resort with amazing prices. I love how how low key they are. Not as big as other resorts but they have all the necessities for a great day of riding. If you're looking for a more Colorado local experience this is the place to go.

Former lifty here! Loveland ski area is a great resort, because it has it all for the most part. Extreme terrain wise, you have a nice area of steep ridge line skiing up to 13,000 feet. The snow can be firm and wind affected in spots more days than not, but when these lifts open on pow days the conditions can be dreamy . Be prepared for weather to change drastically at this resort, with high elevation skiing comes the often ridge line white, extreme winds, and cold wind chills under -40 F plus in early January and February. Another important thing I need to point out, is that the upper mountain lifts often get delayed or do not open until a day or two after big storms (lift 9 and 8). These lifts access the best terrain in the area, so youll want to keep updated on terrain closures. Off of 9 you have the snow cat which generally runs from some time march to closing day, and is IMO one of the best perks of this resort and the guy who drives the snow cat is awesome . The hike through gate 5 to golden bear summit is often easily accessible due to snowmobiles crossing the ridge and packing down the snow, though this area is a sort of get lucky region that is often closed for mitigation.. to left of 9 you also have steep ridge line skiing which requires more effort, and a bit more of a hike. Tree skiing? You have cats meow and the areas left of Chets dream where you can find untouched powder all the way left to the closed ropes at the resort boundary. This side of Chets often requires a hike back through the parking lot. You also have west and east ropes but like areas off lift 9, this region is often closed for extended periods.. Favorite run? Definitely some of the chutes off of the rock chutes, which are steep, rocky, and quick adrenaline boosting runs that get your heart rate going after descending golden bear. You drop out at the top of lift 8. PS: best way to know if ridge cat is running is there will be an orange flag waving on a pole above the lift operations building to the left of Chets dream base. Happy skiing on the divide, and I hope that everyone can experience the ridge cat in all its glory at least once.. Hoping this helps some people..

Great intermediate to advanced resort. Includes snow cat rides to advanced terrain, which is a huge plus. The resort receives consistent snow over a wide range of skiing, so theres something for everyone. A family focussed resort that is locally owned and operated, you feel good supporting them.
