Snow valley is one of my favorite places to go for day of skiing. Close the OC and LA makes it a perfect day resort. I love going by myself or with my wife and daughter there's a lot of beginner terrain and the back side of the mountain has amazing backcountry and off piste fun with couple black runs as well.
It is located outside of any town so no restaurants close by. You would have to travel to Big Bear for accommodation or any good restaurant options.

My friends and I went here. We had a great time they took me down bigger slopes and I was very surprised to see how well I skied down the slope without any help. people were very polite and helpful i would recommend checking out this ski resort

Small resort between San Bernardino and Big Bear. The slopes are more beginner friendly and the lift tickets are cheaper than the resorts in big bear. If you are a beginner trying to pick up snowboarding or skiing, this is the place to go.
