Grew up skiing here so every time I come back its like coming home. Love how comfortable I am on the more difficult runs and how open the runs are so Im not crowded with other skiers. I do always wish the lift went a little faster but I understand its a smaller resort. I do also wish that they had some gluten free options in the lodge cafe but overall I always have a great time at Mt. Shasta ski park.

Out of the way and quiet. Great place for learning and a great place for experienced riders that are tired of crowds and long lines

Used to come here all the time when I lived in the area. Was never a long wait. A decent amount of runs for the cost of a season pass. Food was ok but kind of expensive. There were lockers you could keep your gear (also food) in. There is also plenty of food options that are close enough by to grab something when you get done for the day.

The mountain over all was good to learn on. They have slopes for all Skill levels. The staff was always super friendly and helpful. The food and beer was good as always. I do wish they had more of a ski park but its always something that could be added in the future. Overall its one my favorite that I have snowboarded and I cant wait for it to open!

For it's location, this is a pretty good option. Mt. Shasta doesn't always get good snow every year, but can usually get a couple of months of decent skiing each winter. Lots of nice groomed runs and tons of trees to weave thru. The night skiing is particularly appealing as most of the locals and kids leave and the slopes are almost empty. 4 triple chair lifts gives you a pretty good range of terrain. Fairly low lift ticket prices make this worth a trip. The city of Mt. Shasta is about 25 minutes away and has decent food and pubs with a small town feel. Redding is 60 minutes away and offers better accommodations and a larger range of options for dining and entertainment.

I am grateful to have any access to the snow on this huge volcanic peak rising 14,179 above sea level. The views are worth the slow lift speeds. A plus: I have never encountered a lift line. But..parking can be a nightmare, especially on weekends when you might be waiting in line until a space becomes available. Because there is no employee housing -or shuttles from Mt. Shasta- dont expect much when it comes to services . They do the best with what theyve got but its a short season . If the cost of lift tickets matched the terrain, it would be a great family resort. Bring chairs and lunches for tailgating breaks on a sunny day & it beats any day in the city!

Im an experienced skier but decided to learn how to snowboard on this mountain, and it is great. The lifts are quick even during peak winter hours and there are many runs that go to each lift so one lift up can mean about 4 different runs on the way down. The rental staff are always really nice as well.
