Boreal is a great place for anyone looking to learn to ski or ride, or for those looking to escape the Disney-land feel of a lot of larger corporate resorts. Boreals down to Earth vibe, easy access off a major highway, and amazing terrain parks are what sets it apart.

Boreal Mountain has the best lift tickets prices in my opinion, going from $89-$140 and once a month lift ticket from $25. I believe these are great values comparing it other resorts that lift tickets goes up to $200-$250. It is also a beautiful mountain and they close at night which makes a great experience and make your money worth skin or snowboarding for more time. Food is very limited, in case you want to go out for lunch or dinner you will have to drive plenty small amount of miles to get something good.

I went to Boreal Mountain Resort with my friends and took a snowboarding group lesson. The instructor was really nice and took care of us well. It was the second day of the season so there weren't that many people and only one lift was open. The terrain was good and beginner friendly. We had a blast as first time snowboarders. After that I decided to buy a snowboard to go for a couple more trips this season. The resort is suitable for every level so I highly recommend it.

This resort has an amazing terrain park And it's full of very skilled writers along with the worldwide location at the base which makes it all the more fun highly recommend training inside if you're planning on hitting the big jumps in the terrain save yourself a lot of headache practicing inside of Woodward

It was my first time last year snowboarding at boreal and I was so nervous about snowboarding and the whole thing with renting out gear but the staff was extremely friendly and helpful with finding my sizes and helping me with getting my gear on right. The first day was a bit frustrating to learn how to snow board but I eventually got the hang of it. But by the second day I learned, and man it was so much fun! The lifts were quick even for as many people who were on the mountain. The prices were very reasonable. I felt like I got my moneys worth. As well as the staff, they were really helpful and patience with someone like me who was a first timer. The gear fit perfectly and I had no complaints. Overall experience was 9/10.

Boreal Ridge Ski Resort is the valleys/bays go-to casual mountain. Easy for a day-trip, and boasting world/class lighting for their famous night rides - you get your moneys worth. Lift tickets can be purchased day-of, and as mentioned before; night ride ensures that you get as much time on the mountain as you can bear This location is heavily populated with beginner skiers & snowboarders, but offers terrain that gets you going fast & jumping high. The backside of the mountain offers beautiful views of the surrounding Sierra Nevada Mountains, while you can watch the sunset from the frontside before the lights kick on.

Amazing mountain for park riders. Highly recommended for training purposes for park and or competition. Ski school is very good and approached in a safe and fun way. I would recommend lessons and riding here any day.

Cons is the close date will always be the same every year, smaller mountain (shorter runs) Pros very friendly staff, easy parking, fast lift lines and great events

I really like it for a beginner but for my level and what i want to do to elevate my skills I want a bigger mountain which boreal lacks but everything else they have is spot on especially there park.

Boreal is the best bang for your buck in the Tahoe area. As a Woodward location, they have fun and dynamic terrain parks but at the same time, is great for beginners and families alike with many green blue runs that excel at gradually building skills. Although it doesnt have much if youre seeking the extreme, there are pockets of terrain that have untouched pow and at their prices, its a great time.
