The field is so close to queenstown and it’s very accessible. It’s a bit icy but the night ski is very good. There are lots of options for runs.

This was one of my favorite resorts down south in NewZealand, with the long slopes and heaps of fun off piste skiing.

Great if you want to escape the big crowds and have no queue lines.

Coronet peak in Queenstown New Zealand is a fantastic place for a ski vacation completely different to North American or European resorts with amazing views down to the lake and surrounding mountains
Lots of other activities to do for the other family members that may not be into skiing

I lived in Queenstown for one winter season and absolutely loved Coronet Peak. Great wide runs, especially for snowboarders. The Village is beautiful with stunning views right at the lake.

All the staff up the mountain created a great atmosphere, however the quality of skiing compared to Europe is obvious . With snow being very limited at times.

Closest resort to Queenstown, easy day trip from town.

Gets very busy during school holidays, otherwise nice mix of slopes without much queuing.

Coronet peak is a great resort for a more quiet trip. A con is that the slopes are extremely busy in peak season, meaning riders need to be competent enough to avoid others to maintain a safe environment. On the other hand the pros are that there is an abundance of runs, relatively cheap food and drinks compared to Europe, and the runs are well groomed and receive plenty of powder in NZs winter. Would definitely go back.

Great resort for beginners or intermediate skiers, limited lifts or long runs but some fun skiing to be had. Could probably complete the resort in half a day if you wanted. Not much off piste availability
