Vals is a small but charming ski resort, known for its pristine natural beauty and uncrowded slopes. The skiing here caters mainly to intermediate skiers, with a variety of runs that offer both challenge and enjoyment. The resort occasionally gets good powder, providing opportunities for off-piste skiing. Vals' laid-back and friendly atmosphere makes it ideal for families and those seeking a more relaxed skiing experience. Après ski in Vals is about taking in the tranquility of the mountains, with a few cozy spots to relax. The dining options are modest but delightful, offering a chance to savor local Swiss flavors in a cozy setting. Vals is perfect for those looking for a quiet ski getaway.

This is really a collection of small local resorts just south of Verbier. These resorts typically each have 3 or 4 slow old lifts, 10 or so groomed runs, mostly red or blue, but massive amount of piste. You are unlikely to see many people there. Best to have a car to get around to and between these resorts.

There are no mountain side restaurants, just some snack shacks here and there.

Altogether a different experience from the mega resorts, but I liked it a lot, just for a change.
