What Skiers Say About Davos Klosters

Davos Klosters attracts predominantly intermediate to expert skiers and snowboarders, with reviewers consistently noting the resort spans five separate ski areas accessed by bus or train rather than interconnected lifts. Most users praise well-groomed pistes, efficient modern lift infrastructure, and extensive terrain covering over 300km, particularly highlighting the long runs from Parsenn to Klosters and varied off-piste opportunities. The resort is frequently described as quiet with minimal lift queues outside school holidays, though several reviewers emphasise high costs across accommodation, food, and lift passes. Beginners find limited suitable terrain, with many blue runs considered more challenging than graded, while apres-ski options are described as limited compared to other Alpine resorts.

Went with a big group of mixed abilities. Everyone found plenty of pistes / terrain that was great for their level, had a full week of fun. Various slopes accessible with local buses. There's an entire mountain left ungroomed for powder / freeriding. Literally everything we wanted was available here.
Spa nearby, ice skating in town, good food, fun nights. Would go back any season!

Really great resort! Lots of fun red runs that are perfect for people with intermediate level. Not at all busy and lots of free space on the slopes. Everywhere is up to very high quality and all the food is amazing!

Skiers were generally very serious. Beautiful villages, runs really lovely and great options for both beginner and more serious skiers. Beginners tend to be on the Madrisa side which makes that area great (and separate) for families and beginners.

Apres life isnt hugely popping and food is expensive but lots of great things going on.

Stayed in Klosters. Have been skiing for 27 years, so pretty advanced skier on/off piste.

Pros:
- super easy to get to by train from Zurich airport
- modern lifts
- quality snow as the resort is high
- reasonably quiet in off season
- great variety of prepared slopes

Cons:
- not a ton of great off piste
- Switzerland, so its expensive - especially if youre renting material
- can be busy in school holidays
- need to take a gondola up from Klosters, which can get busy in the mornings

Ive been going to Davos for a few years. Really like the ease of the lifts and the location of hotels. Not the easiest resort to learn to ski - most blue runs are actually red Id say. But once youre confident theres some great runs, and you can ski all the way across to Klosters

Davos is a real favourite. Although the town isnt particularly alpine in style, there is something for everyone, classic bars, clubs, and a wide variety of restaurants.
Pistes are meticulously groomed, and the 5 ski areas ensure there is skiing open even in the worst weather.
The link between Davos and Klosters is a magical ski and the Klosters Madeira ski area is particularly family friendly.

Easy access by train from airport. About 5 ski areas, mainly red/blue but some blacks. Good transport links around the ski areas. Quite easy to link to Klosters but a walk between lift stations in Klosters town. Bus service runs between them.

A large town, I have not seen a wild nightlife on my 3 visits but I didn't really look.

Relaxing place, not for the party crowd. Great variety of slopes on 4 mountains including Picha, an unpisted free ride zone. something for everyone. Plenty of easy access off piste. Good choice of mountain restaurants. Generally not as busy as the French resorts.

On the more expensive side, but not if you come out of season. And be prepared for a treat if you do come out of season. Deserted lifts and slopes and if you are a free rider, like me, there isn't a camper van full of pow hungry Swedes anywhere in site, so you have the entire day to explore countless off piste/back country descents without the fear of them being shredded by 11am. Verbier, eat your heart out!

Went with a group of friends and loved every second of it. We explored all the different mountains and snowboarded everyone of them. The slopes were fairly quiet all throughout the day.

I went for a week on a trip with friends and each day was amazing. We went all over the slopes and they were fairly quiet. The ski lifts were quick and never had a problem whilst we were there. The off-piste runs we had were good and full of fun.

The experience was brilliant, we stayed in the hard rock hotel just down the road from the gondola, we had to take a bus to it each morning which wasnt bad at all, there is a ski into town from the mountain but that is a black run so it restricts it for some people which is disappointing, but this resort is perfect for new skiers and snowboarders to expert level there really is a wide variety of good slopes and id do recommend to familys because there is a nice ice rink in the middles of town and lots of restaurants to eat in after a long day in the slopes and a lot of great food places on the mountain, its a great resort!

Really great for families, not a very apres sort of place but still peaceful and beautiful if thats what youre after. Great variety of slopes for different levels. Not that much variety in cuisine. Very safe and well staffed.

Amazing resort with over 300km of skiing, plenty of off piste, perfectly groomed pistes and a number of linked ski areas.
With 5 separate ski areas, even when the weather is bad, lower lying ski areas will remain open. For the free riders there is a whole area dedicated to off piste, and the Jacobshorn area offers a massive park for the free stylers.
Apres is varied, from small bars to big clubs, and theres plenty of opportunity for eating out.
