A unique feature of Bivio is its extensive network of cross-country ski trails, making it a haven for Nordic skiing enthusiasts. Reviews

If you like endless t-bar drag lifts, this place is for you. It is served by three very long drag lifts. After a couple of hours of skiing and using these t-bars, my feet were hurting. There is a bench at the top of the highest t-bar and you can often see grateful skiers sit there for a while to rest their feet. The resort is from 1700m to 2500m, so there is a decent vertical and a decent height for our climate affected times. While t-bars are a pain, there are several big plus points. 1. There is nobody on the slopes! I've never skied in such a quiet resort. We were there at the end of March. 2. The whole mountain is skiable, you don't need to stay on the groomed runs. As there were very few skiers, even days after snowfall, you could still find stashes of unskied powder. 3. It is a very good jumping off point for ski touring. Many great faces are accessible both from the village itself and from the highest lift. In fact, it seems to be the main point of this resort, as most of the guests were ski tourer. The village itself is completely quiet, there are just three hotels, a store and a decent ski shop. It is served by an ever reliable Postbus. Total transfer time on public transport from Zurich airport is about 3.5 hours.
