Lovely family resort but more of a calm vibe and can get boring for more advanced skiers. Not great for snowboarding with many drag lifts and flat areas.

Very family friendly resort. Quite a large ski area with most of the mountain beeing skiable. One of the steepest slopes in northern Europe is located here, "chocken". There is also extensive cross country skiing tracks at the resort.

I enjoy idre a lot its got a great selection of runs available for advanced and beginners the slope is 360m long I think If I had one complaint food is a bit to pricy and the ski passes can be a bit expensive also

Idre is a really really good ski resort to go with families with young kids. Not super heavy on the reds and blacks and the runs can be a little mundane and short but it really is excellent when you have small kids learning as it allows them to practise more challenging piste types without any fear of having to go to another area etc. Also, the vast majority of pistes return to the same locations so it avoids the worry of kids getting lost. Night skiing is great fun for everybody as well and kicks in around 3:30 every day and goes well into the evening.
