Baqueira - Beret Review Summary
Baqueira-Beret attracts intermediate to expert skiers and snowboarders, with reviewers consistently noting the large ski area (around 165-180km of pistes) and variety of terrain across three valleys. The vast majority of users highlight well-maintained pistes, minimal lift queues, efficient modern lifts, and reliable snow conditions. Spanish food quality and reasonable prices for both meals and ski passes are frequently praised. However, reviewers note that the resort requires a car or reliance on infrequent buses, as accommodation is often in valley towns like Vielha rather than slope-side. Après-ski is described as limited compared to French resorts, and some mention language barriers with ski schools offering little English instruction.

Although we had to drive up to Baquiera early to miss the terrible traffic, it was worth it as the slopes were quiet and the snow crisp and in great condition. New Years Day was a quiet drive up…the normal 20 mins.
There is plenty of varied skiing, and lots of off-piste , with a great lift system. We used BB Ski School for ski hire which is right by the lift up, and stored our skis there. Tim and his wife and team are super friendly and helpful .
Oh, and parking was free!
The bus runs regularly and is only just over a euro . There are other smaller villages along the valley, I will be trying these out in the future!
It's massively convenient; most people stay in the town 20mins down the road, Vielha which is lovely. They have ski lockers at the foot of the gondola so there's no need to schlep your stuff every day. I absolutely love this place
There are plenty of areas off piste for boarders and skiing alike. A snow park.
71:50Euros for a day pass. Reductions for over 65! The food and drink was very expensive. Probably on a par with France.
Highly recommend!!x
If you are blessed with fresh snow I cant think of a better resort for easily accessible off piste and easy returns to the slopes
The lift map doesnt do the resort justice and struggles to show the variety and extent of the runs available.
Stunning Pyrenees views and a friendly atmosphere.
