Amazing ski resort where you can get tired of slopes. You can ski a different path every day, due to its 165 km. In addition to that, the après ski life is something else, with a lot of options and some very nice hotels, there is something for every taste. Even if the price of this ski resort is slightly higher than any other resort in Spain, it is definitely worth the money. You can find areas for absolute beginners, intermediate or more expert. I would highly recommend this to anyone!

Baqueira is a great resort with family. Accommodation in the resort is very close to the pistes. The facilities are new, clean and extremely efficient. You will not wait in line for a second, everything runs smoothly and quick. May not be ideal for very beginners as the piste to come down to the station gets really busy/wet by the end of the day.

Great little resort with a traditional Spanish feel.
We went in early Jan and our only issue was the snow was a bit thin that year. We still had loads of fun ripping groomers and did one day touring just outside the resort.
Accomodation was reasonably easy but definitely easier with a car. We stay two towns away down the valley.
This is Spain so you are not going to be disappointed by the food (and the prices). We are very well enjoying great tapas, iberico ham, and char grilled steaks. Not a huge amount of internal variety but I don't think you need it.
Would definitely visit again, especially if the conditions looked more promising.

I went on the last week of the season so the lower slopes were pretty much mud by this time. However there were fresh snow falls on three of the six days on the upper slopes. The last day in particular was excellent with almost a foot of powder overnight which made for an amazing last day of skiing last year

Great resort!
Save the Goat Run for the 2nd or 3rd day.,
Off-piste on the Beret side can be awesome.
Get out early to avoid queues in town.
Visit Bonaigua at least once and stop for lunch there.
Overall, a resort that has a little something for everyone.

Baquira has a special place in my heart as it's where I did my first ski season, it has a great vibe and was I spoilt from tapas on the mountain, helly skiing and more powder days than I've had in any other the resort. This place is a real Hidden gem, perfect for short trips or even a week, the food is next level, Arties, is a great spot for restaurants or even down in the main town Vielha there's ample of restaurants and on some days you can do a tapas bar crawl which is fantastic, If it's your thing, there's a Moet bar on the slopes, brilliant for apres and for some reason it doesn't have the mountain price tag in restaurants or bars. There's a huge free car park in resort with a train that takes you to the main lift so you don't need to stay in resort. This resort doesn't particularly get busy even in peak weeks And is easy to get to from either toulouse or Barcelona. The company I work for was called ski inspired and it is one of the only British independent tour operators.

I spent a few months up here in 2022. Its a brilliant resort up in the Pyrenees. I would recommend going from Jan onwards to guarantee snow. Would recommend flying to Toulouse and getting a car (can also come from Barcelona).
The skiing is excellent, they host a Freeride World Tour event up there so a great tick for terrain. The resort is a good size, loads of red/blues and some decent blacks, and not often crowded so line queues are hardly ever bad. It's good value too, and loads of decent rental options near the bottom lift.
There is a bus up and down the mountain, but the single road can be busy with traffic on weekends. Get a car if you can, and drive up early, go get a coffee to beat the traffic.
I stayed down in the town, Vielha, that is excellent, great restaurants and bars, needed since up near the resort is quite limited. This resort is focused on the skiing, it doesn't quite have the apres of a French resort, but there are still bars/restaurants on the mountain for a beer after you finish. Also would massively recommend the Moga Cafe for a decent coffee before the lift (the do ski hire too).
Overall a great, good value resort if you want room for yourself, decent runs, and aren't too bothered about partying until 3am.

Baqueira is the largest resort in Spain, with slopes for all levels and, in addition, it offers spectacular freeride runs such as Bagergue. On the other hand, it also has a Freestyle park with all kinds of jumps and boxes. Regarding the party, in the resort itself the après-ski is quite good, but it is not a party like in other places. What is offered is nightlife in towns such as Arties or Vielha. As for gastronomy, the gastronomy of the Aran Valley is excessively good and the restaurants there are too. Finally, the accommodations in Baqueira range from Hotels to Airbnb, which offers a wide range of affordable options.

The skiing is always fantastic what ever level. Food is great, tapas on tapplus cheap beer. Good lifts, plenty of off piste skiing. High altitude so snow generally good all winter
