Val Thorens is a great resort that gives you access to the three valleys at a more affordable price. The village is very nice and its easy to find a ski in ski out location. I came here with some inexperienced skiers however we could easily find nice runs to take them down which werent too challenging and they thought the ski school facilities were great.

Went on holiday to this ski resort aswell. The resort itself was amazing, having nice food, accommodation for 5 days as the holiday was 6 days long, but money value the holiday was worth it, was really fun and amazing, the slopes and paths were really nice to snowboard on and was a really enjoyable experience for me and my family. Got recommended by a family member, would definitely go again and absolutely would recommend this resort to other people.

One of the best resorts in France, especially with the extended pass - with which you'll never run out of runs. Layout of the main resort is great, loads of lifts are easily accessible from one central run. Even takeaway food is pricey but there are some very nice options too. Park was decent, not much in the way of tree runs in VT but Meribel and Courcheval have a bunch - the 3 Valleys pass is worth the extra money.

A great resort for an intermediate piste skier. Perhaps a bit busy and a lack of easy runs for the total beginner. Having said that there are quiet runs to be found if you take the time to get higher into the mountain. Great views of the Alps accessible by lots of blue runs. Lifts are mostly efficient and most have sensible sized ques. Resort itself is quiet at night and has good options for self catering. Haven't been across to the other valleys but it would be very easy to do so.

I grew up skiing in Val Thorens, it is like a second home to me. It is definitely more geared to a higher level skier as they will be able to enjoy the terrain far more. The après seen has only got better and now it is by far one of the best spots in the alps for that.

Great resort with access for all abilities from very beginners up to some more serious off piste and back country side hits, super easy access and links with other resorts nearby so you can never really run out of places to go and new lines to hit . High enough in altitude that the snow stays good all season even later on in the season when a lot of other resorts are getting too warm. From luxury chalets to very budget apartments(me normally staying in the budget options), there is accommodation for all with great transport links buses and transfers to, and from all major airports.

With a small bit of effort, walking uphill from the top of some of the lift stations. There are some great off piste sections with many drops and natural jumps.

In the bottom of the valley, it does get fairly flat, so snowboarders may struggle, especially with the amount of people as the resort funnels all of the slopes into the same area so carrying speed on these flats, sections may be difficult

The town has a great Apres and nightlife scene with lots of different options but youve just got to make sure you dont get carried away too much and miss the first lift the next morning!

As with most resorts food on the hill can be quite expensive, but there are a few snack bars, hidden and tucked away in and around the town that can be accessed very easily from the slope

Again, as it is such a large resort, there are many options for ski and snowboard hire some stores stocking very high quality modern equipment

A great resort with excellent apres ski on the slopes and in the village. The slopes are walking distance from most hotels within the village making it a very accessible resort. The altitude also means that theres plentiful supply of snow.

It is such a fantastic resort, I have been 5+ times and love it.

Snow is always great, town is huge and lovely.

Val Thorens covers all choices, 5 star hotels or low price apartment. It really has it all.

Skiing is great and ski area is huge, skiing over the Orelle side is a sun paradise.

I think Val Thorens is so versatile, it really suits everyone. 5/5 Perfect

I particularly recommended it to any youngsters looking for a affordable but thrilling holiday.

Due to the altitude of this resort you are more than likely to have great snow. The apres and nightlife is great, and is popular with younger tourists at college/university. I have been on many trips to VT with and without university and have always had a great time.

Id say the difficulty level is suitable for all levels, lots of green and blue pistes which give access to apres ski bars up the mountains.

Ive been to Val Thorens 4 times now and love it. Its high up so very snow sure especially in the later season. The night life and apres is great. The ski area is amazing as its huge. You'll struggle to run out of runs to do. Had a blast every time Ive been there just wish it was a bit more reasonably priced!

Val Thorens is a beautiful resort in the Alps. One of th highest resorts in France, you can expect regular snowfall for most of the ski season. Runs around the main lifts and hotels are blue or green, and the ski schools do well to show students the best runs. If you are an experienced skier I would recommend the three valleys pass so that you can go over the mountains and explore for the day (make sure to plan your journey back to Val Thorens though, there are no buses back and taxis are upwards of 100). Apres ski is good fun with a variety of options depending on music taste. Food is expensive. Overall a superb resort for groups of friends that want to enjoy their holiday as well as ski.

Great ski resort with direct access to the world's largest ski area, the 3 Vallées.

Very festive with Folie Douce and 360 and après is dope.

All range of accomodation from 5 stars to budget appartments.
