Our ski pass let us go to both vars and Risoul which was amazing and meant there was lots of options, we went for a uni trip and the uni did events but otherwise apres wasn’t great the mountains were more of a chill drink vibe and food rather than proper party but was a place with great music off the mountain where everyone went after. The runs were reasonably easy and fun and very quiet was powder at start but slushy by end due to hot weather

fun resort for a university trip there was a lack of diversity within the runs and the resort was quite small, but alas a joy to be there for the week.

An unreal ski holiday that I went on with my university ! One for the books. Risoul was the perfect place for us all, good snow all week, amazing weather and great people. Couldn’t have asked for more !

Incredible week out as a part of my uni trip, saw a lot of families here aswell that looked like they were having a wonderful time, spent a week here that went from my ability to just about do a green run to doing reds and hitting the park by the end of the week, cheap food and drink

Had the loveliest time with all my friends in Risoul. I managed to develop my off piste and black run skiing whilst having an amazing time down the quiet red and blue slopes. Risoul is definitely family friendly whilst also having the best apres on the slopes that aren’t stupid expensive!

Good value for money holiday, and for beginners with a lot of blue runs. Had the option to go to different resorts so there was variety in runs. Apres was good but not very busy

Good resort on a budget, short transfer from turin, good amount of slopes connecting with VARS limited off piste

Very fun, great place for beginners/intermeddiates, for more advanced ski to nearby town Vars, decent selection of food places, apres and clubs fun everything is closeby

Off piste runs through the trees are a must. Don’t miss out on 5 euro beer during the happy hour at k2.

Small resort, not many challenging runs. Within the first couple days we had skied most runs. Had some friends that were beginners and for them it was easy to get around by just using blues. Some good food options on the slopes that are reasonably priced for the alps. Apres music was hit and miss sometimes had some good djs. There was a happy hour on the slopes that was good fun and €5 for a pint but minimum card is €15.

Good resort for when on a budget, very small though. Not very beginner friendly but lots of amazing blue runs!

it is a nice resort probably better for those not as confident with skiing although for advanced skiing let’s getting to and from Vars is very easy and accessible
think i got a bad week as it was very icy all week which was a shame but snow in vars made up for that but after a small snowfall all runs were fab
not an awful lot of apres options but they were good and a small local pub was very welcoming for us scots

Slow lifts ant the bottom of the slopes often not working causes cues. The lifts higher up are much more efficient once you get up there.

Piste are great in a morning but slush fields by the early afternoon.

Booked lessons for my 10 and 5 year olds with ESF but not many of the instructors speak English well.

went to risoul with my university as a first time skier - had a great time, great runs, fun apres.

ski school was great, enjoyed myself immensely.

Amazing with 2nd valley into Vars and it’s runs/ parks. Great food, people, runs, lifts, apres, activities, events, festivals, all types of terrain and gradient. My fave ski destination brits don’t know about!! (Have done ski seasons here too!!)

I had a really good time but wouldve liked better après. It is also well connected to Vars which has really nice runs as well

I was pleasantly surprised by Risoul - I expected the runs to be average because the ski pass was so cheap but they were amazing

A small resort connected to Vars (apart from very bad weather days), which means you get a huge domain to ski on with your ski pass and can easily spend a week trying to ski the whole resort without getting bored. Snow park wasnt great but I reckon going to Vars would be a good shout. Some goof off piste if you know where to go so definitely speak to the locals. Risoul is quite a French station so the majority of skiers are local/French, with some Italian and also Dutch students at times. But it means the station remains cute and quiet and v family friendly, although there is a lively apres scene. Risoul is noticeably cheaper than other resorts so is a great option for a cheaper week away!

Great place to get started, loads of slopes and the ski school got me skiing in half a day by lunch time

First time to a purpose built resort, skiing was good helped by a fresh dump of snow as we arrived for an early Easter ski week in 2024. Accommodation was basic and restaurant options were limited and really felt all the seasons workers were fed up and couldn't really be that bothered
The appres ski was also limited to a few bars mostly frequented by much younger people who seem to be trying too hard to have a good time at the end of the season. Skiing was okay but don't expect anything amazing but at least the holiday was cheap. Three stars overall .
