We stayed at the halfway station, this was very convenient and easy. The lift stops quite early in the afternoon so be warned.
The snow was great and too much for the piste bashers so felt a bit like skiing off piste a lot of the time but this was due to the amount of snow not the resorts organisation. Pra loup seemed to be very family friendly when we visited on a couple of occasions.

Found Pra-Loup by searching for a resort that wasn't popular with Brits. And true to it's word we were the only British voices we heard all week
The skier was good for intermediate skiers and boarders, and there were some good restaurants on the mountain.
And being so far south, the temperature was good and plenty of sunshine

Lovely place, my family and I went during busy season so the slopes were very busy. Slopes also had more icy bits than I expected and with it being busy it was a little difficult to manage sometimes. However, it is beautiful, the restaurants are wonderful, and the instructors are quite helpful. I think it's a very good place to go when it isn't very busy (we went New years week).
