At the top of a spectacular valley with great views. However, it is north facing, great for snow, not so for staying warm. The toilets are as limited as Ive ever seen. 2 places on whole area and the only up the mountain 1 is a natural toilet (which I advocate fully) but the smell and ammonia was out of this world. There are a few lifts, mainly drag and old chairs. Many rocks were evident at the higher pistes which gave my skis a beating unfortunately. We tried to eat out twice. Once, the limited restaurants werent open and the second, with a reservation, the waiting staff were possibly the rudest I have ever been served by. A bit of snowfall made the off piste rideable but unfortunately wont be venturing back.

Amazing resort for all abilities quite quiet and very good off piste and steep for the advanced skiers, good quiet runs for beginners, not very good apres there could be more but because its quite small its fair enough a few good bars and very good ski in and ski out accommodation

A very quiet small resort at the top end of the Maurienne valley. Great ski touring base but resort options go to 3000m. No wild nightlife but some simple good restaurants doing mountain food. Very different from neighbouring Val dIsere (though 3 hours by road in winter). Attractive stone built traditional village

Nice runs, but visibility often drops to almost zero on the the higher runs. A fun green run for the kids with interactive tunnels and bells. Apart from the little restaurant on the slopes don't bother even trying the ones in the village. They are rude and you can only go there if you've pre-booked. Take lunch with you, the supermarket isn't even during the day in bonneval.

Really nice small station for family or for more advanced skiers Really cheap price for a station that go to 3000m Negative point small station so doing a full week here can be complicated for people who love skiing
