Pleasant resort, not too big. Only one hill really with one piste with several runs running down it. Fast and excellent lift, large capacity. The resort is a main training ground for nordic sling and cross country racing. The course of which winds itself around the forest. The winter walking here is the best. Mike's of groomed forest paths, with several alms for refreshment. I have visited Seefeld 3 times now, really like it.

We love the Hôtel Dans Kaltschmid in Seefeld, Austria. If you fly to Innsbruck it is only a half an hour drive by taxi to the resort. The hotel is great for families. Good rooms, excellent 3 course dinner every night, lovely swimming pool , sauna, steam room and outside jacuzzi. It is only a few minutes walk to sort your lift passes, pick up skis and ski school. The ski school for kids is on the Geigenbuhel which is a small hill. It is perfect to learn on or for adults, to practice on your first day. As a family with a 10 year old we found it great to ski to and from the Geigenbuhel to the Birkenlift and be close to our hotel. There is an outdoor snack bar at the Geigenbuhel which is perfect for lunch . If you don.t want to pay for an expensive week long lift pass you can pay as you go, which is cost effective if you do not want to ski some days. We find the Austrians very respectful, reliable and friendly. Seefeld is very picturesque. I have only skied on the Gshwandtkopf once, which was a more intermediate level slope. It is very wide which allows you to do long sweeping turns.
