I first visited dachstein west as a novice skier after only previously skiing on a school trip when I was 12. It is a brilliant family resort and occasionally weve had slopes to ourselves. My partner is a seasoned skier and also has ample opportunities to ski various levels of slopes as well as various jumps and tree routes. Its a perfect place to teach someone you love how to ski and opens up a world of possibilities.

I came here 2 years ago, the ski lessons were amazing and I managed to gain my confidence to go up the top after just 1 day. The scenery is incredible and there are plenty of amazing places to get food and drinks.
I would definitely recommend.

This resort is pretty awesome, great for families.
There aren't as many routes as some resorts in Austria but the variety and views at this resort is to die for.
There are loads of really nice huts to eat at and great value for money compared to what some places might charge you.

Really good skiing considering the relatively low price point, a very quiet ski resort ideal for families. Whilst not a massive ski resort there is plenty of variety in the runs and what the resort lacks in size it makes up for in stunning views.

Dachstein West is a really good family resort with a massive variety of runs for all abilities. There are many huts where you can grab a drink or a bite to eat at prices that are surprisingly good value (considering what you pay at some resorts).
This is an Austrian slope so the grades are all on the harder end of what you may be used to but there's still the variety for everyone.
With 30 lifts across the resort, 54 piste runs and 2 ski tours you're spoilt for choice on how you want to get down.
