Mont Ste-Marie - Reviews & Ratings

This is the best "small" hill in the vicinity of Ottawa, Ontario. About 1 hour north of the Ottawa River, there are several runs on these two hills that offer an excellent test of skiers of any level.

Great Ski Resort to visit! Would go back again. Ski lift and runs are good. Didnt do too much exploring of the entire mountain so I will definitely be going back to check it all out

MSM (Mont Ste-Marie) is a gem of a mountain just outside of the Ottawa region, it is the highest peak of the region and well worth the detour. Ski tickets and rentals are cheap and the community is extremely friendly. Both peaks are wonderful and split into an easier peak (vanier) and a harder peak (cheval). The chalet is nice and cozy and the bar is always so much for, for boots off beers. They usually have events going on during the weekends in the bar. Instructors are the nicest and very skilled.

Great for young families to learn to ski near Ottawa. Also has challenging runs for more advanced skiers.

Expensive for accessibility. Minimal open hours. Food is expensive as well, mediocre quality. Not accommodating for beginners.When it is less busy, it is a convenient hill for experienced skiers.

Close enough to Ottawa to drive in for the day. Good food. Family friendly. Come back in the summer for a round of golf.

Great hill close to Ottawa! Definitely worth the drive for the longer runs. Beautiful views and two peaks!

My experience at the ski resort was great me and my partner were visiting from out of the area, ski lifts were reasonably-priced priced, the groomed trails were well maintained and lift lines moved smoothly. Sadly during our visit we had an accident in the glades where ski patrol was required to sled my partner down the hill. Ski patrol was quick to respond and took the situation very serious which was amazing but unfortunate it was required. Overall good experience would recommend to anyone in the area.

Went back when the Rockstar energy drinks park was there and it was a fun and overall great experience. Lots of different areas for any level of riding as well as some pretty amazing trails through the mountain that made it definitely worth going to with a group of us. Everyone was riding at a different comfort level of riding and we still all had a blast.
