Recent Reviews

Mont Cascades is about 30 minutes from the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa and offers a range of difficulty levels (blue, black and double black) served by three main chairlift lines, and a few short beginner hills (green) served by two carpets and a mini-chair. I've only skied the blues, blacks, and double black runs, and the day I went in December, the runs were uncrowded and groomed to an excellent corduroy. At the top of the Panorama lift is a lovely view of the Gatineau River and the surrounding Gatineau Hills. There is a separate, smaller lodge for the racing program, and the main lodge has a relaxed atmosphere.

I have been skiing this hill at night regularly for the past few years. Minimal to no wait for the lift. Conditions are currently great with the majority of runs open. Well worth the extra 10-15 min drive from other local hills to avoid crowds.

Small hill,
poor snow conditions due to the region's weather.
