What Skiers Say About Mt. Norquay

Mt. Norquay is a small resort five to fifteen minutes from Banff, frequently mentioned by intermediate to expert skiers and snowboarders. Reviewers consistently note well-groomed runs, short lift queues, steep terrain including mogul runs, and scenic views overlooking Banff and the surrounding area. The resort is described as family-friendly with good ski school programmes and night skiing options. Common criticisms include limited terrain size compared to nearby resorts, icy conditions on some runs, and relatively high prices for food and rentals given the mountain's scale.

Norquay is alright. Good for the family or beginners. They also have a pretty sick park so if youre into that. Excellent ski school too

Lake Louise is a hill that really has it all. There is tons of terrain to explore for all levels of skiers. The views are also amazing. One thing I appreciate as an intermediate skier is there are still lots of long runs I can do from the top. This is a great place to take the family as my more adventurous teens can have fun in steeps, powder and trees while the younger kids and more cautious still have plenty to explore.

I have been there once and I really enjoyed it. There are a lot of slops for beginners or intermediate skiers or snowboarders. Didn't go to advanced slops at that time, but I believe they are very good as well as the rest of the slops there. Hopefully can go there again with my family soon.

Awesome ski resort. I chose to patrol there as it is a place I have fond memories off with my family! Great terrain and steep groomers. Lone pine is the best mogul run in the world.

My. Norquay is a small family friendly resort in the heart of Banff with some amazing terrain, big bumps and some pockets where you can find untouched powder.
Its located 10 minutes from Banff town and is usually very quiet on the weekdays. With most weekends being busier with local ski racers and familys skiing together.

If you want a fun day out with the chance if the tubing, skiing with the family and an amazing dining experience in the main lodge then Mt. Norquay is the place to go.

Mt norquay is a hidden gem of a mountain. So close to Banff so the accommodation options, food and après are great. Some of the best groomed runs Ive skied because they are quiet, steep and not too icy(most of the time) they also have one of the steepest mogul pitches called North American which you ride a cool two seater chair up to. They also have night skiing which Ive heard is great. The only problem with this place is it is quite small.

Despite being a small resort, Norquay still manages to offer a whole day of skiing. Plenty of quick lifts with little lines to take you to the top. With some lifts offering black, blue and green runs all in the one place, there is something for everyone at Norquay. The views are amazing, overlooking Banff, while skiing some very great terrain. So close to Banff and easy to access with buses running all day. Norquay offers some good, despite being limited with the variety of venues on offer. A lot of man made snow, but to a high quality and offers a great day out.

One of the most family friendly hills out there. It has terrain for every skill level out there. Just starting but with a group of pros? Maybe riding with younger sibs? This is the place to be. Easy runs are scattered with tree trails and super wicked natural features like wood rails and jib rollers. Fast chairs and some of the most unique ones too. The odd pattern North American chair is an experience for sure. Taking you to some wild views and even wilder moguls. Ive never had to wait in line for a lift and the food and rentals are perfect. The park is epic with easy features to build confidence and rails and jumps you see on red bull edits. Super sick hill close to Banff and Calgary that you can never have a bad day at.
