Love the runs here, there is plenty of options for beginners and the staff are super nice.
It is a place I have visited every year since I started learning to snowboard as an adult.

Sweet hill at the top of the mountain. Tons of powder after a good snow. Sweet bowl on the north side. Chutes are where it’s at though

Hidden gem in Canada!
The area has little cell service so it’s a true escape! The mountain has epic powder days. The lines for the chairs can get a bit long since the chairs are older and slower but worth the wait!

Pretty solid day. Had about 30cm of powder. Some places got skied out pretty quick but could still find pockets into the afternoon.

You will be blown away (literally), but still some of the most powder filled slopes with virtually no other skiers compared to other resorts, especially on a weekday!

Castle Mountain is awesome , it’s a well kept secret in Pincer Creek Alberta just south of Calgary . No long line ups , good size chalet with cafeteria style restaurant. Runs for all abilities. Excellent value and senior rates for 65+

Awesome little ski resort, away from the crowds of sunshine, louise. Older slower lifts but plenty of opportunity for fresh lines.

Honestly some of the best powder I have ever snowboarded in my life! The lift lines are short, efficient and get me exactly where I want to go. I highly recommend this mountain if you want an intimate powder experience over any big resort, 11/10.

Castle is a great resort hidden away from larger crowds. Plenty of steep, black/double-black terrain (almost 70% of all runs), but the green/blue runs are great to learn on. When there's powder, it gets busy and the lift lines can be long, but it's always worth the trip out.

If you want to go back in time, go to Caste Mt. This is the true 80's ski experience ... but with high speed chairs.

If you love packed powder - go to Castle Mt. They juts keep getting refreshed and it's not really busy.

Castle Mountain has some of the best skiing in westwen Canada. If you are looking for a fancy resort with all the latest technology, it's not the place to go but for die hard riders, you may never want to go anywhere else.

Absolutely one of the nicer, most hospitable resorts in North America. It's like going back in time ... before Vail turned the ski industry into a Wall Street casino .Not much around the area on terms of commercial resort, but the skiing is excellent and you can safely leave your kit bag in the cafeteria all day and never worry about it.We rented a condo in Fernie and skied Fernie, Castle, and Kimberly all week. Suv rental out of Calgary is 50% vs salt lake for the same Ford expedition from the same rental company. You'll love skiing this whole area and have enough money left over for a second ski trip that year.

it was a good hill, had lots of mogul spots and tree trails which made it super fun and easy to have fun there. the jumps were in good condition too but there was ic patches like almost all over the mountain and it made my board chip but its okay because the skihill made up for it

Terrain up Red chair and snow quality is excellent. Especially for advanced or plus. There are a couple blue groomers, which are excellent. Long traverses on cat tracks required. Can be extremely windy. Chutes are great!Huckleberry berry section is excellent for beginner to upper intermediate. The middle of the mountain is excellent if the snow is good and amazing tree skiing. Not a lot of groomers here. If snow is bad The mountain gets small quite fast , most people stick to Huckleberry or go up red if they are able.

Castle Mountain is a brilliant place to explore all levels of skiing. The mountain has a wide variety of terrain, from beginner runs and groomers, as well as the longest continuous chutes in Alberta. Steep and Deep!
