Goryu forms part of the wider Hakuba Valley and offers a mix of wide groomed runs and steeper sections. The terrain caters well to intermediates, while beginners and advanced skiers will also find suitable areas. Snow conditions are generally consistent throughout the season. Après-ski options are centred around nearby villages, with casual bars and eateries rather than a strong party scene. Goryu works well for skiers looking for varied terrain within a larger ski network.

Recent Reviews

Wonderful base slope with Burton store & a helpful local business for repairs. Events throughout the season like the magical Fire slope featuring locals groups & instructors. The black runs are challenging & make you work to get to the bottom - the reds are also fairly steep & can give you an adrenaline boost!
The park features get changed frequently & when it snows, it dumps.
Though I usually like dining/drinking options on the mountain, there arent too many stopping points - but the options available dont take long to get between & the local bars & inns give you plenty of options for an evening out.

Would recommend riding here for beginners & pros alike as there is something for everyone!
