Best Ski Resort for Off-Piste in New Mexico: Taos Ski Valley - Off-Piste Rating 4.30/5
Taos is an off-piste paradise that's captured the hearts of our expert users. Amelia describes it as "magic" for powder days, while Mike raves about "some of the steepest trees I've ever skied." The West Basin Ridge offers what Robert calls "the most extreme terrain at Taos," featuring incredible chutes on both sides. Nathan loves the "amazing side country options," and William considers the North America run "some of the best tree skiing I have ever done." The terrain demands respect though - it's primarily designed for intermediate to expert riders, with endless challenging lines that will keep you coming back year after year.
