Looking at the reviews and ratings from our community, we may have the answer - Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn. Great for Families
Families are going to have a fun, relaxing, and quality ski trip when they visit the Skicircus. No matter which of the villages you gravitate towards, families won't be disappointed with a selection of excellent ski schools, beginner lifts, and kids’ areas. The ski schools within this area provide a great variety, from teaching children to ski for the first time, to more intermediate/advanced lessons for those who want to enter the world of freeriding. Apart from ski schools, there is a plethora of on the slope activities to keep kids and the family entertained. There are attractions such as; the Family Park, a free magic carpet, and an Alpine Coaster. Additionally, there’s Funcross (a ski-course with waves, bank turns and jumps), the Fishermans Friend SkiMovie (where skiers can have their run filmed to then share with friends) and Funslopes (interactive pistes with snow constructions and high-fiveable characters). Young aspiring free-skiers can also learn skills at the Learn-To-Ride Park.
Families can also rest easy knowing this ski area has excellent value for money. This is offered to families with the KIDS ON SKI package for children aged 3-5. This package includes free half-day ski lessons, ski hire, and ski pass during select weeks. Kids can also get a bonus during Easter, with free ski passes from the 28th of March 2026 (ts&cs apply).
Stella, an expert skier, writes in her review: "It's a very family-friendly resort with lots of gentle runs for children. The town is great fun as is the après scene and there are some really nice luxurious hotels with spas.”

Great for Thrillseekers
Need to spike your adrenaline when you ski? There is no shortage of those opportunities at the Home of Lässig. From freeride spots, to snowparks, to the famous “The Challenge” circuit, thrillseekers can't go wrong.
This ski area is deemed the Austrian Freeride Mecca, with an array of runs throughout Saalbach Hinterglemm and Fieberbrunn, with gradients as steep as 70 degrees! Further cementing itself as a freeride hotspot, it hosts the FIS Freeride World Tour as well. Those with trepidations can still experience some off-piste runs, with various camps, workshops, and local guides to prepare those of any ability to tackle these slopes. Stella agrees in her review: “Absolutely love this resort! Especially when there is lots of fresh snow as the off-piste terrain is very friendly in places and easily accessible.”
Even more thrills can be enjoyed within the Nitro Snowpark. Located in the Asitzmulde ski slope area at about 1800 meters, this world-class freestyle park has something for every rider of all levels; the Pro Line for freeride experts, the Kicker Line for those wanting to focus on big air, and the Easy Park for those just starting out.
For adrenaline junkies who just haven't had enough, The Challenge is a ski circuit in the Home of Lässig seek out. 65kms of slopes, 12,400m of vertical drop, 7 total hours of skiing! This challenge requires skiers to hit all 32 ski lifts in a day, with a pool of prizes available to all who finish.
Snomad users rave about the off-piste and snowparks found in the Skicircus. Jaana, an expert snowboarder, praises its “excellent off-piste terrains”, whilst expert skier Matt talks about how “the parks were full of features that cater to all levels.”

This interconnected ski area is one of Austria’s largest, with about 270km of ski slopes and over 70 lifts. Steve reflects this in his review: “The pistes are great, wide and so much fun for carving. They are well connected and we skied 25 to 30 Km a day without repeating pistes. The lift system is modern, fast and comfortable.” The modern lift infrastructure is something many Snomad users continuously rave about. Rated at a 4.86/5, their high-capacity gondolas and chairlifts ensure minimal queueing. Marc agrees with his review: “Great place to ski. Very family-friendly and the lift system is unbeatable. Especially as they upgrade lifts every year.” Skiers are able to experience even more with the Ski Alpin Card, allowing access to 408km of slopes and 121 lifts across 3 resorts; the Skicircus, Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See, and Kitzsteinhorn Kaprun.

It’s great for families with a range of activities that accommodate children, a variety of easy slopes, all at a price that's better value than at many similar resorts. This ski area is also great for the thrillseekers as it's the mecca for freeriding, with world-class snowparks, and a ski challenge that spans the entire ski resort.
