Our hearts are with Crans-Montana

Over the New Year period, the ski community and beyond was shaken by devastating news from Crans-Montana in Switzerland. In the early hours of 1 January 2026, a fire broke out at the Le Constellation bar during New Year celebrations, causing the loss of 40 lives and leaving many more people injured.

What makes this tragedy even harder to process is how young many of the victims were, and how international the resort community is, with families and friends affected across multiple countries.

Our thoughts go out to all the victims, to everyone who has lost someone they love, to those recovering from injuries, and for the first responders and medical teams who rushed in and have carried the weight of this in the days since.
