We’ve handpicked our favourite ski content creators. The ones we genuinely love following because they help in different ways, from family ski tips and coaching to off-piste inspiration and smart budget planning.

That’s exactly how Snomad works too: we help match you with great resorts based on what matters most to you, using real community ratings across 20 categories (from family-friendliness and powder to value and après).

We chatted with each creator and asked them to share their top 5 ski resorts — and because we’re Snomad, we built a fun tool so you can do the same. Just pick your five favourites and we’ll generate a shareable Top 5 resort video in around 30 seconds.

Piste Skiing

Richard Amacker | @Richardamacker

104K followers | Based in Switzerland

Richard is is a one-of-a-kind creator who brings his fun, energetic, playful freeride style to the piste. As a former Freeride World Tour competitor, he knows how to ski steep and scary terrain. If you want to see pistes skied in ways you didn’t know existed, check him out!

Richard Amacker candid photo on the piste

My vibe? “I would describe my content as creative on-piste skiing where I try to show what’s possible on skis — in short, I’m a versatile skier who aims to be creative on the snow.”

ALL-TIME FAVORITE RESORT: Nendaz, 4 Vallées (Switzerland) - "My all-time favourite ski resort is Nendaz in the 4 Vallées. It’s special to me simply because it’s where I grew up, where I learned to ski, and where I shaped myself into the skier I am today. That’s why I love it so much. The terrain variety is incredible — you can find everything from groomers to off-piste, from forest runs to big technical lines. On-piste you have playful, rolling terrain, steep sections, easy and difficult slopes — there’s really everything."

TOP 5 RESORTS

  • Kiroro, Japan – for its insane powder, it was just unbelievable.
  • Rosa Khutor, Russia – also for the powder, absolutely amazing.
  • Gressoney / Alagna – Monterosa, Italy – an incredible area with a huge ski domain, beautiful pistes and great powder skiing.
  • Levi, Finland – I discovered it recently and it’s completely different from anything else. Beautiful pistes, stunning landscapes, - great infrastructure — a really cool experience.
  • Zermatt, Switzerland – always a unique resort. No cars, a charming village, the Matterhorn, a massive ski area, amazing restaurants, great accommodation and really enjoyable skiing.

MOST EXCITED TO VISIT IN THE FUTURE: Jackson Hole, USA - "I would absolutely love to visit Jackson Hole. I’ve heard so many great things about it over the years, and I’m really curious to experience it for myself. I love the USA, I love the American vibe, and I really like the atmosphere in their ski resorts. Visiting Jackson Hole has been a dream of mine for a long time, so that would be my top pick.”

BIGGEST MYTH ABOUT BEING A SKI CREATOR: "I think the biggest misconception is that it’s only about performance or showing off. For me, being a ski creator is also about inspiring people all over the world. If I can inspire even a small part of the ski community to wake up with a smile, go skiing and discover new things they can do on their skis, then that already feels like a win.”

FAMILY SKIING

Hannah & Simon | @Adventuresofthewests

80K followers | Based in Brighton, UK

Hannah, Simon, Caspar, and Otis make up the UK’s favourite ski family. The Snomad community rates resorts by family-friendliness and we know it's a key category for all the skiers out there navigating trips with children. We love seeing the Wests visiting all sorts of resorts and seeing how their reviews align with our wonderful community’s views. If you have kids, you need to follow the Wests!

Adventures of the wests.jpg

Our vibe? “Relatable family adventure inspiring you to travel more with a big dose of skiing!”

ALL-TIME FAVORITE RESORT: Morzine, France - "We both spent multiple winters here and it’s where we met, so it will always hold a special place for us. It’s part of a huge ski area with something for everyone - an incredible variety of slopes, great après, and easy access from Geneva, which makes it work just as well for families as it does for seasoned skiers."

TOP 5 RESORTS

  • St. Anton – unbeatable for off-piste skiing and legendary après-ski
  • Serre Chevalier – great value, brilliant for families, and far less crowded than many other French resorts
  • Whistler – incredible atmosphere, reliable powder, and amazing food (especially the sushi)
  • Jasná – relatively unknown, budget-friendly, and excellent off-piste terrain
  • Baqueira Beret – another underrated gem with outstanding food, beautiful landscapes, and world-class off-piste"

MOST EXCITED TO VISIT THIS SEASON: Appi Kogen, Japan - "for the endless powder and a skiing experience that feels completely different to Europe, both on and off the mountain. We've skied Japan before as a couple and we're so excited to go with our boys!"

BIGGEST MYTH ABOUT BEING A SKI CREATOR "That you’re always on holiday!"

Jen | @Thatslaplagne

25.3K followers | Based in La Plagne, France

Jen is the La Plagne expert that everybody should trust! If you have kids she gives a great insight into realistic skiing with them. We love how there is no fluff with her content, she shares her wealth of knowledge in such an entertaining way!

Woman looking at a sunset on the mountain in La Plagne ski resort

My vibe? “I’m not a pro-skier, I just LOVE skiing and decided to live here! Think real-life mountain mum energy – full ski gear needed on the school run, snack breaks on chairlifts, and honest tips, fails & humour from someone who actually lives this life 365 days a year.!”

ALL-TIME FAVORITE RESORT: La Plagne, France - "It’s not just where I ski – it’s where I live, raise my kids, and built a whole life. What makes it special is that it works for actual families. You’ve got space, community, and terrain that suits every stage of learning. I arrived as a beginner skier, now I snowboard, or ski with my kids (who are definitely now better than I am!)."

TOP 5 RESORTS

  • Best for Families: Tignes – loads of wide terrain, great snow reliability, and plenty of non-ski options like swimming, tubing and ice diving. Ideal if you’ve got mixed ages or ski-fatigue sets in midweek.
  • Best Value: Isola 2000 – think brilliant skiing without the big-name price tag. Isola’s where I first strapped a snowboard on, so it has a soft spot in my heart too.
  • Best for Powder: Sainte Foy – quieter, underrated, and perfect for off-piste exploring without the queues. It’s the kind of place powder hounds whisper about.
  • Best for Sunny Skiing & Food: La Rosière – bluebird days and the bonus of skiing over to Italy for lunch. What’s not to love?
  • Best All-Rounder: La Plagne – from glacier runs to tree-lined pistes, ski-in/out villages, and a setup that works for first-timers and seasoned skiers. Yes, I live here – but it really does have something for everyone.

MOST EXCITED TO VISIT THIS SEASON: La Plagne - This winter, I’m especially excited about the brand new Roche de Mio gondola. It’s opened up faster access to the 2700m Roche de Mio peak from Bellecôte - and beyond, straight up to the glacier. You can also hop on at the mid-station with an easy connection from Plagne Centre. Some of my favourite pistes are up there – wide and cruisy. My fav is to take Levasette over to Champagny as it’s quieter and always in the sun! "

BIGGEST MYTH ABOUT BEING A SKI CREATOR "That we’re skiing from dawn till dusk with a camera crew in tow. Yes, I ski more than most. But I’m also defrosting the car before the school run, shouting “where’s your other glove?!” for the third time, and juggling homework (in French!)! And when people say, “You’re so lucky to live there,” I always smile – because yes, it is amazing. But it’s not luck. It’s the result of choices we made. It’s raising three kids far from family, learning to navigate French systems, and building a business from scratch during nap times and snow days. Living here with kids isn’t always easy. But it’s full of moments that make it all worth it. I did stumble into the mountains, but we built this life for our family. And I’m so grateful we did.!"

Ski Lifestyle

Andreas Putz Carving on the piste

My vibe? “On the one hand, I want to inspire and motivate everyone to go skiing with authentic and up-to-date content, because it is simply the most beautiful sport in the world—no matter what the weather or conditions are. On the other hand, I am proud and grateful to be able to work long-term with such a cool brand, to realize great projects together, and to keep meeting people who share the same passion as I do.”

ALL-TIME FAVORITE RESORT: Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, Austria - "The incredible diversity and variety are truly unique. From perfectly groomed slopes to great freeride spots and fantastic mountain huts throughout the entire area, the overall package is simply unbeatable for me."

TOP 5 RESORTS

  • Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn - Overall
  • Ski Arlberg - Off-Piste and legendary status
  • Engelberg - The Vibe
  • Sölden - Great events and amazing skiing in the spring season
  • Hochkönig - Kind of a hidden gem with good snow and huts

MOST EXCITED TO VISIT THIS SEASON: Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, Austria - "Because there’s always good skiing and I’m really looking forward to the highlight in March - the Freeride World Tour in Fieberbrunn and the Chasing Slopes Festival!"

BIGGEST MYTH ABOUT BEING A SKI CREATOR: "I can only speak for myself: since I work a regular 40-hour job and don’t have any photographers or videographers on my team, very little is plannable, and the content is always the result of chance and a high level of personal motivation."

Ski Coaching & Technique

Tamar Van Delen | @Thatgirlwhoskis

52.4K followers | Based in Tirol, Austria

Ski instructors are the lifeblood of the ski industry. Snomad even has a handy Ski School Quality category to help show the resorts with great instructors! Tamar is funny, authentic, and helpful. She really represents the good in the industry. She is also a positive driving force for women's skiing. She is one of the co-founders of SKISISTERS, helping get more women into backcountry skiing.

My vibe? “It feels like following a ski girl who takes you along in her real life, from instructing days to ski-improvement tips, with the goal of inspiring others to do what they love and be kind to others along the way.”

ALL-TIME FAVORITE RESORT: Revelstoke, Canada - "Coming from Europe, skiing in Revelstoke feels completely different. The terrain is challenging but still very accessible, with an insane amount of inbound terrain to explore. The snow quality stays good for so long, and for anyone who loves skiing off-piste, it’s absolute heaven. On top of that, the community in Revelstoke is amazing, so many supportive, strong skiers. It’s truly a special place"

TOP 5 RESORTS

  1. Revelstoke, Canada - "No explanation needed, it will always be number one for me."
  2. Nauders am Reschenpass, Austria - “My home resort and one I highly recommend for families. It’s relatively small, with all slopes leading down to the same valley gondola, which is perfect when skiing with kids. The slopes are wide, spacious, and never too crowded.”
  3. Kappl, Austria - "A real hidden gem. Great slopes, but even better off-piste terrain. It’s located next to Ischgl, it gets the same amazing snowfall without the crowds. If there’s a big powder day and I could choose anywhere in Austria, this would be it."
  4. Madonna di Campiglio, Italy - “I skied here for the first time recently and was genuinely surprised. This resort is perfect for groomer lovers, the quality of the pistes is incredible. And of course, being in Italy, the food on the mountain is amazing.”
  5. Les Sybelles, France - "One of the biggest ski areas in Europe. I loved being able to ski from village to village and plan full-day tours. I spent a week here years ago, but I still have great memories of trying to ski as many kilometers as possible in one day."

MOST EXCITED TO VISIT THIS SEASON: Saalbach - "Together with a friend, I host a women’s ski community called SKISISTERS. This season, we’re heading to Saalbach, Austria with a group of 14 women for a freeride trip. We’ll be staying in a mountain hut and freeriding every day with two female guides. Saalbach has incredible freeride terrain, and I honestly can’t wait for this adventure.."

BIGGEST MYTH ABOUT BEING A SKI CREATOR: "That we only ski when the camera is on, when in reality, skiing is life guys!!!"

Another instructor producing impeccable content, Martin treats the world as his playground and it shows. We love creators that look like they're always having fun. If you're looking for a diverse range of content - Martin is a must follow!

Skioholic skiing in backcountry powder

My vibe? “The name Skioholic says it all, sharing the passion for skiing from groomers to freeride.”

ALL-TIME FAVORITE RESORT: Kaltenbach Hochzillertal, Austria - "You can start your ski day already at 7:30 and watch the sunrise on the mountain."

TOP 5 RESORTS

  • Best for Powder - Hochfügen Austria
  • Best Value - Rosskopf Sterzing, Italy
  • Best for Families - Spieljoch Fügen, Austria
  • Best for Apres Ski - Ischgl, Austria
  • Best for park skiing - Flachauwinkl, Austria

MOST EXCITED TO VISIT THIS SEASON: 3 Zinnen Dolomites, Italy - "I’m going in February, I’m looking forward to skiing in front of the stunning panorama of the Dolomites in Italy."

BIGGEST MYTH ABOUT BEING A SKI CREATOR: "Ski creators don’t take the first chair up the mountain, when actually we always do! ;-)"

Sam Yeo | @Sam.Yeo

31.7K followers | Based in Niseko, Japan

We've been watching Sam's content blow up this season. His blend of informative, entertaining, and funny content is relatable to everyone. If you're looking for information about Niseko, he's a local expert!

Sam.yeo.jpg

My vibe? “Educational ski content for the average skier, and insights into the Niseko area.”

ALL-TIME FAVORITE RESORT: Les 3 Vallées - "When I first started skiing while living in the UK, my only opportunity to ski was on week long holidays to France. Endless runs, lots to explore, incredible views, and amazing après."

TOP 5 RESORTS

  1. Les 3 Vallées, France
  2. Niseko, Japan
  3. Rusutsu, Japan
  4. Zermatt, Switzerland
  5. Val d'Isère, France

MOST EXCITED TO VISIT THIS SEASON:Niseko - "I will be instructing in Niseko all winter and probably won't get a chance to visit anywhere else before spring. But I look forward to meeting new guests this winter, as well as catching up with some familar faces."

BIGGEST MYTH ABOUT BEING A SKI CREATOR: "You need to be a world cup athlete, ex racer or crazy freestyle skier. Posting relatable content is the best way to connect with an audience."

Park Skiing

Marco Ladner | @Confettyboy

61.4K followers | Based in Ischgl, Austria

If you want to learn tricks, laugh, and enjoy the good vibes that park skiing brings - Marco is the man for you. A 3 time olympic athlete that still takes the time to teach people how to shifty and much more!

Park Skier with faction skis

My vibe? “Fast skiing, big jumps, big smiles and pure fun on the mountain – my content is all about having the best possible time on skis and inspiring others to do the same.”

ALL-TIME FAVORITE RESORT: Ischgl (Austria) - "I’ve been lucky enough to ski many incredible resorts all around the world. Some of them gave me unforgettable moments and huge smiles, but in the end, my all-time favourite is still my home resort, Ischgl. I know so many amazing spots there, from park to powder to perfectly groomed slopes. I could ski there all day and all night and would never get bored. The variety Ischgl offers is what makes it so special to me – every day feels different, and it truly feels like home in the mountains."

TOP 5 RESORTS

  • Ischgl, Austria - “My number one because it’s home. I can do everything here: park, powder, carving laps or just ride up, enjoy a coffee and take in the mountain views. I love standing on top of these mountains and calling it my home resort.”
  • Mammoth Mountain, USA - The snowpark there is absolutely insane. I competed in some great contests in Mammoth and made unforgettable memories. The park scene and energy are next level.
  • Revelstoke, Canada - This is where I experienced one of the best powder days of my life. Revelstoke left a huge impression on me, and going back there one day is definitely a dream.
  • Val Thorens, France - The slopes are incredible and the resort itself is huge. I don’t know exactly why, but every single day I spend there is just fun – it’s one of those places where everything simply works.
  • Skischaukel Kappl & See, Austria - The Skischaukel Kappl & See are very close to my home, which makes them extra special to me. I love that you can ride two different resorts in one single day with the same ticket. It’s the perfect place for relaxed ski days, but when conditions line up, it can also deliver absolutely mega powder days.

MOST EXCITED TO VISIT IN THE FUTURE: Japan - "I would absolutely love to ski a resort in Japan next year. Freeriding there has been a long-time dream of mine. I don’t have a specific resort in mind yet, but discovering the best spots and making this dream come true is something I’m really excited about."

BIGGEST MYTH ABOUT BEING A SKI CREATOR: "That I’m just on the slopes all day and the content magically edits and uploads itself. The truth is: while I’m skiing a lot, I spend almost the same amount of time behind my laptop editing, planning and working. It’s a lot of work – but I honestly love every single second of it.

Snowboarding

Johnathan Buckhouse | @JohnathanBuckhouse

Good vibes, wholesome content, and an incredible line of stickers! I'm a skier but that doesn't mean that I don't enjoy the right snowboarding content. Johnathan has that classic snowboarder steeze in his videos that draws us in everytime.

Snowboarder in a tight couloir

My vibe? “The guy having the most fun on the mountain! ”

ALL-TIME FAVORITE RESORT: Telluride (USA) - "Telluride is the best! It has everything you could want for every level of rider. From lift access bowls, gnarly hike to terrain, all the way to a rad terrain park. Telluride is the best! Did I mention it has a ski town and a ski village?"

TOP 5 RESORTS 1.Telluride 2. Aspen Snowmass 3.Breckenridge 4. Crested Butte 5. Keystone All Colorado, USA

MOST EXCITED TO VISIT THIS SEASON: Mount Bachelor, USA - "I am heading to Mount Bachelor in Oregon, and I just heard so many good things about this ski resort. "

BIGGEST MYTH ABOUT BEING A SKI CREATOR: That being a ski/snowboard content creator doesn't make you a professional at what you do.

Trip Planning on a Budget

Jamma | @Weekendskier

17.6K followers | Based in London, UK

We’ve been enjoying Jamma’s unique, relatable content for a while — he shares smart tips to help people like you and me, with full-time jobs, squeeze in more ski days and make annual leave go further. One of our most popular rankings tables on Snomad is Value for Money. Jamma shares tips and advice on how to plan ultimate weekend getaways, on a budget.

Weekend Skier.jpg

My vibe? “Genuinely useful information provided from a bloke that sounds like he should know nothing about skiing (and he arguably doesn’t tbf).”

ALL-TIME FAVORITE RESORT: St. Anton, Austria - "Without any hesitation it has to be St. Anton, Austria. I will be incredibly biased to this place as I worked my ski season here, but damn this place is so incredible. On the mountain you have an insanely diverse piste option. The ski area is so big that there’s so many different landscapes and challenges to enjoy. The off-piste selection is just ridiculous. There is genuinely enough to spend years here and still not get bored. And off the mountain you have the best après in Europe (possibly the world but I can’t comment on that…yet), with a fantastic range of restaurants and bars. Yes, it is more expensive than most, but a resort like Anton sets their prices like that because they KNOW they are worth that much."

TOP 5 RESORTS

  • Best Overall: St. Anton am Arlberg, Austria - It’s so good that it deserves a mention. Just put it on your bucket list already.
  • Quiet slopes: Norefjell, Norway - Genuinely think this place never gets too busy. Quiet, secluded locals resort 2-hours out of Oslo.
  • Lifts: Flachau, Austria. Everything is comfortable, everything is efficient, everything is quick. Even the shuttle buses to transfer you between areas are very reliable and rapid.
  • Intermediates: Bardonecchia, Italy - 100km of entertaining runs, providing enough variety over 2 mountain faces.
  • Advanced: Sauze d’Oulx, Italy - Part of Via Letta, you get red runs on tap here. All of them are very fun.

MOST EXCITED TO VISIT THIS SEASON: - "I couldn’t tell you! My trips are usually organised throughout the season, often only knowing exactly where I’m going a couple weeks away from the trip itself. That being said, in January 2026 I have my biggest weekend skier crew - 10 of us - covering 3 resorts: Puy-Saint-Vincent, Serre Chevalier and Montgenevre. Looking forward to trying out some resort hopping!"

BIGGEST MYTH ABOUT BEING A SKI CREATOR: "That I’m able to tell people exactly what resort to go. There’s so much more to it: ski ability, length of trip, accessible airports UK side, what time of year, what the weather will be like, current conditions in resort, how many are in the party. It all plays a part, making it quite a complex question. That’s where the Snomad platform is great, as you can find out a lot using the review system and categories.”

Freeride

Sam De Vries | @Samde__vries

23.4K followers | Based in Switzerland

Snomad collects ratings for off-piste and powder, which make up a large part of your freeride experience so we had to include some of our favourite freeride creators. Sam is someone who doesn’t take himself too seriously, and we love him for it. Sam’s content is such an enjoyable part of our feed. His memes are great but there’s a very real, and authentic person behind every part of his content.

Sam De Vries at the top of a couloir

My vibe? “My content is a perfectly unhinged mix of skiing, injury rehab, dating chaos, and self-aware humor. Making people feel seen, entertained, and slightly concerned in the best possible way.”

ALL-TIME FAVORITE RESORT: 4 Vallées (Switzerland) - "4 Vallées will always have a special place for me because it was the first ski resort I ever visited in Switzerland, and the place where I truly caught the freeride bug. Before that, skiing was fun, but this was where it became an obsession. The terrain feels genuinely endless: massive faces, hidden lines, natural features everywhere, and conditions that let you progress at your own pace. What really sets it apart is the scale. You can ski the same area for years and still find something new, a different line, a new zone, a fresh perspective depending on snow and light. Add in the unreal Alpine views, and it’s the place that made me fall in love with skiing beyond the pistes, where exploration and creativity matter just as much as technique."

TOP 5 RESORTS

  1. 4 Vallées/Verbier, Switzerland – Freeride playground with world-class terrain, steep lines, and an energy that constantly pushes you to level up.
  2. Engelberg, Switzerland – A raw, no-BS freeride destination. Serious terrain, deep days, and a mountain that demands respect.
  3. Alpe d’Huez, France – Underrated and surprisingly diverse: long runs, high-altitude snow, lots of sunshine and plenty of options for families!
  4. 3 Vallées, France – Sheer scale and variety. Endless lift connections, something for every style of skier, and incredible access to off-piste across multiple resorts.
  5. Mt. Baker, USA – A completely different vibe: legendary snowfall, playful terrain, and a reminder that skiing doesn’t need to be flashy to be magical.

MOST EXCITED TO VISIT THIS SEASON: Verbier, 4 Vallées - "Verbier was the very first resort I skied in Switzerland, and it played a huge role in how I got into freeriding. It’s tied to a lot of “firsts” for me: first big lines, first real exposure to freeride culture, and first moments of realizing how much more there was to skiing than staying on groomers. I was there last season with my family while recovering from back-to-back season ending injuries, which was mentally tough, being in a place you love and not being able to ski it properly. This season feels like closure in the best way. I’m healthy again, stronger, and coming back with five more years of experience, better skills, and way more confidence. I’m excited to explore the terrain with fresh eyes and finally ski it the way I always wanted to."

BIGGEST MYTH ABOUT BEING A SKI CREATOR: "The biggest myth is that ski creators are just skiing all day, every day. In reality, a huge part of the job happens off the mountain. Planning shoots, filming, editing, managing deadlines, negotiating brand deals, and constantly feeling pressure to capture everything “perfectly.” It’s rewarding, but it’s real work, and it can easily take over your relationship with skiing if you’re not careful. I think the most important thing is balance: treating it like a job while still protecting the joy that made you start skiing in the first place. If you forget to actually have fun on snow, something’s gone wrong."

Álvaro Penadés

73.6K followers | Based in Baqueira Beret, Spain

Álvaro is who I picture when people mark their level as expert on Snomad. Perfect technique, incredible sends, and great vibes all the way. He makes you want to push yourself to be a better skier, his enthusiasm is contagious!

Álvaro Penadés.jpg

My vibe? “I am a very passionate guy, I am always the one screaming and feeling a lot of intense things when sharing powder lines with my buddies”

ALL-TIME FAVORITE RESORT: Baqueira Beret (Spain) - "I think knowing well the terrain and the hidden spots is the most valuable. Nothing like opening tracks at 4pm! I was raised in Baqueira Beret (Spanish Pyrenees) as a freerider, and that’s my winter base and my favourite resort to rip when conditions align."

TOP 5 RESORTS (Álvaro is a backcountry skier so this only relates to that terrain)

  • The Arlberg, Austria
  • Tignes, France
  • Baqueira Beret, Spain
  • Kurodake, Japan
  • Revelstoke, Canada

MOST EXCITED TO VISIT THIS SEASON: Hokkaido Island, Japan - "I come here every 2 years to experience the best powder in the world combined with the best food and the best après-ski (Onsen waters at 40°)"

BIGGEST MYTH ABOUT BEING A SKI CREATOR: "People used to think it’s just living the best life and traveling to the best places. But there is a lot of work behind, working and backing-up the daily content after the intense ski journeys instead of resting and chilling… Then sleep and repeat the game!

We hope you’ve enjoyed meeting our favourite creators! We’d love to hear your top 5 resorts. To join in with the fun - head over here. Make sure to post your video on Instagram or TikTok tagging @Go.Snomad when you do. We’re going to pick one lucky winner to win an amazing prize!
