Sunburst is my hometown hill back in Wisconsin. I have seen that place through thick and thin because I also work as a full time ski instructor there over the winter. Wisconsin winters are sometimes a pain with the weather being way too warm and not allowing a window to blow snow. The place only offers groomed runs and no extra terrain besides a terrain park and tubing hill. Sunburst is a great beginner hill to start on if you potentially want to ski out west in the future. The groomed runs are great if the weather conditions are good. It all depends on the weather. Sunburst offers great cheap prices as well. Like $90 private lessons? Thats a steal. As a ski instructor, our ski school is perfect for learning basic skis and getting down the hill safely, but from my experience there are barely any instructors that are able to handle intermediate to advanced lessons. Sunburst also has an updated chalet that is very spacey and allows a lot of room to get ready. This place always has a place in my heart. I grew up skiing here and I learned my basic skiing and racing at this hill.
