Just a wonderful travel destination tucked away into the mountain range. Fantastic ease of checking in and only a short stroll to the ski lifts. Spent three days exploring the mountain with expansive views and beautiful terrain. More then half the mountain is available to ski with runs ranging from beginner to advanced. Throughly enjoyed this wonderful experience and will definitely visit again!

Great ski resort, especially for intermediate / advanced folks. Way less crowded than many of the others in Colorado since it's a little out of the way. A little tougher for a true first-timer to learn on, as we saw with one of my friends, but that also makes it less crowded with people just trying to get the hang of things and slowing down lifts and such. All in all, a little less to offer across the board than some of the bigger resorts, but you get all the benefits / trade-offs of a smaller resort. Great option if that's what you're looking for!

Great variety of terrain, some very nice groomed blues and blacks. Lots of nice restaurants and businesses on the mountain, and next to a great town.

More steep runs compared to many other resorts that makes skiing more interesting.Resort is smaller but plenty of runs for a few days' trip. Bus services to and from the resort fo town of Crested Butte and Gunnison are very convenient. Town has a lot of restaurants with variety of food options and bars.

I spent five days, three skiing, at Crested Butte and loved my experience on the mountain. Groomed runs were great and they had a handful of mogul fields. I liked that Crested Butte takes advantage of their steep mountain face which makes for epic Blue and Black runs. Lift lines ran efficiently and only a couple of chairs ran slow. The base area has a good selection of restaurant and bars for after skiing activities.

To me, this is one of the best resorts in the world for expert terrain. Everything off of the back is an absolute dream. It's not easy to get to, but that means you can ski fresh tracks all day. Vibes are almost that of a smaller mountain, and they've got the best pizza in Colorado at secret stash. Ski rambo if you want the bragging rights, but it's the least interesting run on that hill. The poma lifts are about as good as it gets anywhere.

Amazing mountain for both beginners and experienced riders. Crested butte includes a good amount of easy blues for the inexperienced, and also has some of the most extreme runs in america, i have never had a dull day over my 100s of days at crested butte. The T bar lifts take you to some of the most amazing terrain that you wont find anywhere else. Fun for all and challenging for the most experienced riders.

It is as if CB is two resorts: nice tight and well groomed runs from easy greens to wild blacks and then the surface lift served extremes that are truly extreme. Think huck yourself off a 60 foot cliff extremes that are still in-bounds. Apres on the mountain is not special, but a short (and free) bus ride into town serves up some great restaurants and bars ranging from total dives to world class cocktails and two in-town distilleries. Then go home, go to bed and do it all over again tomorrow. It is remote enough to not get too busy, but still pretty accessible.

I grew up coming here and love the mountain and the town. The Avalanche restaurant was always a must visit when we went. The town has an artsy feel and vibe to it. Access to extreme runs is easy access.

Crested Butte has some of everything for everybody. Lift wait times are rarely more than a few minutes, and the staff here is among the bestfriendly, helpful, and great attitudes. The town of Crested Butte has great shops and restaurants, and even a quaint, old-fashioned movie theater. CB is a bit out of the way, but sure beats the I70 traffic!

The best expert terrain. Lots of lift access to expert terrain as well as hiking access. So much to explore, and crested butte has a really fun base area.

Although a smaller resort, it he snow quality is typically very good making all the terrain extremely fun. Not a very crowded mountain so its great for getting fresh tracks. I would not suggest this place to beginners but higher level skiers will love the variety in difficult terrain the resort provides. The North Face lift and High lift are tons of fun when the snow is great but riders can find great mogul and powder fields on lower areas.

Crested Butte will eat you alive if youre not prepared for it! A lot of the green runs that should likely be rated Blue runs have moguls on them. Its so cold in Crested Butte you could ski the blue runs with ice skates:)) With it being so cold I dont understand why they dont have any enclosed lifts. Beware most locals like to straight line down the easier runs to get back to the lifts. You should be at least an advanced level skier if you truly want to enjoy Crested Butte. You should really like extreme cold too!

Its the last genuine ski town in Colorado. Truly the town is special, and I hope it never changes. The mountain has greens and blues, sure. But the real value lies in the expert only bowls and pistes around the backside. They contain some of the countrys most challenging inbounds runs, and you almost cant decide if its sketchier with exposed rocks and trees littering the slope or with powder that would cloak those landmines and make stopping at that steepness a near impossibility.

Crested Butte is an incredible resort if you have the time and snow to explore the whole resort, especially areas off of groomers, specifically the extremes (North Face, Teocalli Bowl 2). When theres not a ton of snow, its not the greatest as its pretty small. Be prepared for your skis to get a beating, its not uncommon to run over rocks/roots mid season.

Crested Butte is an incredible mountain for intermediate to expert skiers. The terrain can be challenging on many parts of the mountain, however there are parts of the mountain that are perfect for beginner skiers. There are many different zones of the mountain to explore and it never gets old. Make sure to visit Teocalli Bowls while youre there. Its the best skiing I have ever experienced and the powder was untouched and immaculate. I would ski here again if I was given the opportunity.
