We stayed here in January. First off the hotel was fabulous, good staff and the spa was amazing after a day skiing. The slops are steep but good for a more advanced rider. The snow we had was perfect and so was the light. Would recommend for an advanced rider.

Great resort with lots of runs for such a small town. Not much in the way of apres but a few busy bars. Very family friendly and only gets busy on Italian holidays. Lots of good off piste options for more advanced skiers / snowboarders.

Excellent resort for families that cater for all abilities. Ski area is big and has lots of different areas that connect well together.
Some of the lifts are modern but there are a couple old two seaters.
The resort has a lovely atmosphere and locals are friendly.

Gressoney La trinite is the best ski resort I have been to. The range of slopes and quality of the slopes is incredible. The red runs from the very top are just some of the widest most beautiful slopes I have skied on, and I never wanted to leave! The views from the restaurant/bar at the top are amazing. The food was great, accommodation was great. There are a couple of cool little bars in the town that you can go to on an evening with music and one had a hot tub. Pretty chilled apres ski vibes.

The best off piste in Italy, so if that's your thing you need to get here. Otherwise pretty limited, both in terms of pistes and resorts. A one trick pony, but what a trick.

Lovely traditional resort. This resort comes into its own when the off piste conditions are good . Unfortunately when I visited the snow was limited with very hard packed conditions.

Gressoney lacks stores and options for après ski are limited with only one or two wine bars and a couple of bars.

Accommodation is also restricted to a handful of mainly 3star hotels. I found the staff to be very friendly and eager to please.

The lift system is good but very much limited if its very windy with links to neighbouring resorts often closed.

Small resort, part of the Monte Rosa chain including Champoluc and Alagna. Very quiet and picturesque, with easy skiing on groomed runs and great food and drink on the mountain, but limited terrain and linear nature of the ski area means you'll either ski it out in a couple of days or have little to do when the higher lifts are shut. Apres-ski / dining options are fairly limited, more suited for a couples weekend away than a week with friends.

Great family resort, with not too much in the way of apres options. Piste area is not massive however the off-piste is particularly good with lots of trees.

Fantastic ski area for varied terrain and long runs. Lots of long cruise runs across a big area.
Much quieter and more local than bigger resorts in the Aosta valley.
Great free ride area if youre getting to grips with powder and off piste and some excellent ski touring options either for a day tour or a multi day trip over to Switzerland.

The pistes were perfectly groomed even though there was a lack of snow on the mountains. The resort was very quiete and not many on the slopes in early February. The lift system was a bit dated but with the lack of crowds , there was never a queue. The resort was not ideally suited for beginners as the slopes here were challenging. Beginners would be better served in the adjoining area of Chapulac which is included in the reasonably priced ski pass. Nice local bars but closed early. Fantastic ski and boot locker service right by the ski lifts so you could walk back to the hotel or enjoy apres ski in trainers rather than ski boots, great idea!!
The hotel Monboso was nicely positioned with views over the valley.
