Big Bear is perfect for a festive weekend getaway from LA if you dont mind some crowds. The resort does a good job to put on a party at the lodge with live music some weekends. Lift lines got pretty long, but that is what you get for such a convenient resort. It still had everything I could want as an intermediate skier.
