Aside from the beaten and chaotic mud parking lot, Bolton is a charming local resort that has some amazing terrain plus some of the only night skiing in Vermont. The tree runs here are amazing, but I have skied mostly at night, where the groomed runs are limited. Definitely cool to be able to ski after work and have some real trails to tackle, they just get old as there are so few. This resort is awesome for beginners especially considering the price of a half day ticket here is a steal. The terrain is great for manageable increases of difficulty for people learning and improving at skiing. Being at the highest base elevation in VT, Bolton gets snow when others get rain. The views from the top are incredible; Lake Champlain, Mount Mansfield, and Camels Hump, are visible in a trifecta that cannot be found elsewhere.
