Powderhorn is a hidden gem in the west slope of Colorado, arguably the best slope. This resort is only 40 minutes from Grand Junction making this an amazing resort to drive from town. The locals come up for half days and weekdays are amazing with its ease of access. The resort is smaller but provides terrain adequate to keep you coming back. Legendary tree runs through aspens and glades is where Powderhorn shines. You can almost always find powder stashes and the overall vibe of the mountain is the small town ski place.

The ski resort is kind of small but it is a good small resort. It has a few runs but it has a second slope that has a lot of runs on it.

Powderhorn is an amazing ski area with lots to offer including learning areas all the way to expert level runs. I spend my time sporting more blue level runs. These happen to be wonderfully relaxing and also fast and exciting.

Powderhorn was my home mountain growing up. Its full of some of the best tree runs and hidden powder gems. On a powder day there is always some great powder hidden away in the trees. The new lift is pretty fast and the ancient west end lift keeps beginners at bay. Overall this mountain is great value for the price! Also they have an amazing program for new skiers (Bob Beverly ski program) that makes the sport easy to get into with lessons, rentals, and then discounted season passes with zero restrictions.

Went to Powderhorn with my family during spring break. We stayed for two days and it was wonderful. Got lucky with a foot of powder that was skiable all day I kept finding runs that got better and better. Definitely recommend great mountain with great locals

Still low traffic resort compared to big names resorts. The food and selection improved over last few years. The prices of ski lessons increased substantially sine the resort was purchased by a big company

Powderhorn is a great small resort for skiing. They are accommodating and up to date. Always enjoy skiing there. Have season pass.

For the price, it cost for a ticket compared to the amount of runs, and the amount of lifts they have its over priced and ski patrol isnt on par with the regulations that most resorts should have in place friendly enough place, but too expensive and in the end, they dont genuinely care about the safety of the people on the mountain

For those who dont mind long lifts for the legs to recoup, Powderhorn is a great little secret. Excellent glades, relatively tame terrain but does offer some challenges if youre willing to seek them out or ask a local. No crowds, no drama.

Powderhorn is a great resort for those who are looking to find a smaller mountain that packs a punch. There are tons of runs fit into this resort that all are incredible. Powderhorn is at a lower elevation, so occasionally suffers from higher temperatures than whats best for snow. Their pricing is much more affordable relative to other resorts, but they are on the rise. The food is great but also comes at ski resort prices. All in all, Powderhorn is a great resort that I would highly recommend. The feeling of community there is unlike any other resort.
