Meribel Centre , as with all the "satellite" accommodation (eg Motteret, Les Allues, Village) , sits centrally within by far the best linked lift system feeding by far the best variances of ski terrain in the world: the 3 valleys . There's something here for everyone and anyone, both for skiers/boarders and non-skiers alike , and over many years of coming here , we always find something new in both ski-terrain and entertainment experiences each and every year . The one real negative we'd like to raise about Meribel, though , is the questionable management and design of the numerous pistes converging at the main lift station meeting areas . With the massive uphill capacity of the 3V's built into supplying vast numbers of skiers from Val T to the Courchevel valley and back the other way , there are daily , numerous accidents of skiers colliding which is a direct result of too much speed within crowded and crossing-direction pistes . There ought to be some design-planning and then some action taken to provide , for eg , more speed-arresting barriers for those converging pistes and possibly a few "flyover" bridges to encourage skiers to take a one direction route to a connecting lift and out of possible collisions with skiers converging or crossing over pistes !
