Salla is a beautiful ski resort in the heart of Finnish Lapland, often known for its tagline, “In the Middle of Nowhere.” The resort features a mix of slopes suitable for families, beginners, and intermediate skiers, along with a dedicated children’s area. Its remote location makes it a great spot for cross-country skiing, with trails winding through pristine, snow-covered forests. Salla also offers opportunities for winter hiking, reindeer feeding and northern lights viewing. The unspoiled surroundings and peaceful atmosphere create a unique retreat for those seeking solitude and simplicity on the slopes.

A very pretty yet remote part of Northern Finland, above the arctic circle, so gets v v v cold! Interesting to see the saami people as well. Prices, as in most of Scandinavia are sky high, but the facilities are mostly very good, so go if you have plenty of money!
