My best memories of Austria are from Stubai. Huge terrain, great food and clean amenities. I met a local skinning up the mountain and we became friends. I was invited to his home, met his lovely wife and was made to feel like family. Thank you Ernest.

A great option for early or late season skiing on the glacier. Free lift passes for children under 10 with a paying adult. Lots of accommodation options in the valley with good equipment rental deals in most shops. The city of Innsbruck in close proximity for lots of non snow activities. Friendly Austrian vibes.

Great ski resort for intermediate level of ski or snowboarder, with very long and large slopes. Very good quality of snow and lifts, but the best thing is that is was not crowded at all, making it really fast to get on the slopes.

The Stubai ski resort in Austria Pros:Reliable Snow62 kilometers of groomed pistes. Panoramic views. Moden lifts and gondolas. Family friendlyModerate aprè skiCons:Stubai can be more expensive than other resorts During peak season, the resort can get crowded, especially on weekends and public holidays.Stubai ski resort is a fantastic option for skiers and snowboarders who are looking for a reliable snow experience and stunning scenery.

Perfect family and friends experience, possible to cater for all levels of experience in ski group without compromising the holiday. Great Apres Ski and fantastic atmosphere from morning to night. Possible to ski in nearby resorts for variation.

Not a major apres ski resort but some options for that Plenty of slope options for all levels. Great snow parkLots of off piste optionsWide runs and good connections Close to Innsbruck with public transport makes it a great option for a larger resort close to the city.

We spent a day at Stubai - the altitude meant we had great snow conditions when the lower resorts were struggling with rain. The choice of pistes isnt huge but the resort is well managed and could definitely keep you interested for a few days. Lots of other resorts to explore nearby too.

I normally ski in Stubai if I ski later in the season as the snow is always good. The slopes are wide and well goomed and there is a fantastic off piste run from the summit to the car park at the bottom (top partbis on regular runs). It is not far from Innsbruck if you want to try other local resorts such as Igls, Axamer Lizum and Seefeld (these are best skied in a day). Best to fly to Munich and hire a car. Could also stop off in Garmisch/Zugspitz for the day on way back to airport!.
