This is a great resort with good lifts they're pretty fast some of the lines can get long on busier days but most of all it's not too much of a long wait for most lifts

Went for Feb 2024 out to Salt Lake, said lets ski Solitude for a day and see whats going on out there, and never left for the rest of my trip. Great terrain, great access, great food on the mountain (shout out to the curry!), and in general a great place to spend your time if you are in the looking to push yourself on terrain if you are an average or above skier. Super fun groomers all the way up to crazy tree runs down the canyon. I can't say enough good things about Solitude. Definately take the bus, there is very limited parking.

I was a Solitude local for nearly a decade with a season pass. Its got terrain for everyone, a mid mountain lodge that sports some amazing Indian Food. Powderhorn will get you going but make sure you get Summit or any of the gates into Honeycomb Canyon for so sidecountry shredding! Traffic in the Cottonwood Canyons is always tricky so plan accordingly! Best priced mid week pass in all of Utah. Thirsty Squirrel with cover your Apres Ski craving!

I really like solitude. I do an Ikon pas and it gets a little crowded on weekends but weekdays arent bad and I always ski parts of the mountain I like. Its not too big compared to some other resorts Ive been to but still fun on a powder day.

Solitude is a really good mid sized resort and great for families! They have some great back terrain for advanced riders but making a whole day out of this resort is completely possible and so much fun!

Solitude has a great variety of runs from green/blue cruisers to off piste/trees. Groomers are kept in good shape. Theres lots of fun to be had here. Biggest downside is traffic can be bad getting up the canyon, especially on weekends and holidays. Not a lot of parking options either so get there early.

Solitude is truly an amazing resort with world class terrain. Powder that stays around for days and a small parking lot to lift lines are never too bad. The grooming isnt amazing, Along with the beginner terrain as there is only 15% green runs. You should go to Solitude or the office paste powder the world class boot packs and snow that doesnt get slid out in 2 hours. To get to a lot of the good stuff a place like no mans land on the trail map Requires a lot of traversing, But its absolutely worth the effort if you can get there, especially as a snowboarder as it is very far away very few writers get there per day so 3 laps there will likely have 3 untouched runs.

My home resort. I could shred here every day and be happy. Gets crowded on peak dates due to Ikon pass but most of the time is relatively empty. Honeycomb canyon has some of my favorite powder runs I've hit in my life.

Being the only unlimited mountain for the Ikon pass, solitude have great terrain compared to other cottonwood resorts. Its got a lot of lift serviced double blacks that are very fun, also some amazing boot packing trails such as evergreen peak that have some crazy chute lines

From the minute I pulled into the Inn, I was met with wonderful and helpful people carrying my bags from the parking lot to the Inn. The room had me at the robes but with the added luxury of humidifiers, down comforters, fantastic views, ski in and out with ease and ski lockers. The terrain was amazing. Higher than high with snow and groomed runs from the top to the bottom. Fantastic! No lines! Great food , hot tub and heated pool. Fabulous European feel to the intimate village. Loved every second, on and off the hill!

Good resort I find the terrain isnt as soft and fun as Brighton probably because of the elevation. They have a decent terrain park but so slow to get it open and keep it open. The lift lines once everything opens even on weekends have little to no wait and I love the option of 5 dollar pizza slices for resort food near the upper parking lot. They have terrain for every level overall staff is friendly and helpful! I really enjoy this resort for the price I paid for the ikon pass its a good option!

This ski resort has lost its way and is prioritizing ANYTHING but skier experience. They need to reevaluate their comfortable carrying capacity and limit ikon holders or soon theyll change their name from Solitude to Multitude. Lift lines on weekends are always 30+ minutes Parking is a joke Fresh snow is constantly skied out Way too crowded all the time

My biggest concern about this place was that one of the lift chairs was extremely fast for both getting on and off. It was a rough pick up and it was so fast that I felt like getting tossed out getting off. Also, they dont offer free parking, which is another reason that I also choose Brighton over solitude.

For the past three years, I've bought the Ikon Pass for the amazing access to the Cottonwood Canyons. Living in the Salt Lake valley basically obligates me to ski/snowboard the Cottonwoods. With this access and the Solitude season pass that comes with the Ikon Pass, Solitude is my go-to resort. I love side country and riding big freeride faces, and Solitude can provide all of that. The environment is very family oriented, and the resort offers lots of fun and progressive terrain. Unlike Snowbird, Solitude tends to hold powder in the resort for a few days which is really nice. I've been to Park City, Brighton, Snowbird, Snowbasin, Powder Mountain, and Solitude, and I would say Solitude is my second favorite resort, following Brighton.

Solitude gets the job done. Super fun for powder days and the moguls are nice. Only issue is that as of current there is only 1 park and its tiny. Its only my first season skiing but Im running out of features to hit on the park.

This resort has some great runs with a lot f fun features. Theres not as much powder as other salt lake mountains but its still some great snow. The park isnt huge but its got some nice boxes and few solid rails. I would stick to the right side of the mountain more but theres great runs all over.
