Rob - advanced skier ⛷️

If you're looking for a ski resort that has a lot of facilities including a huge choice of hotels from 3* to 5* (and some amazing 5* hotels), over 90 restaurants with tons of international stuff, crazy shopping with up scale brands, nice bars - not a crazy apres scene but pretty decent, especially Zero Dix after skiing on a busy Friday or Saturday, great atmosphere in town and lively with a surprising mix of age groups, then Crans-Montana is right up there. Really good piste skiing, mostly south facing which is fine because the altitude is high and early season is great. Not so much off-piste or freeride, but a very very good terrain park, one of the largest in Switzerland. Long runs, especially down from the glacier and some nice rustic mountain restaurants too. very smart, good for short trips too by train from Geneva Airport.
Pros - choice of hotels and very high standard, great food, incredible views from the town and the mountain, local wine, buzzy town, great intermediate ski terrain with a bit of harder stuff too (actually very good for beginners too), huge ski touring park
Cons - lower runs late season can get slushy, can be expensive (although not as much as some of the other Swiss Valais resorts), not much freeride terrain or powder left one or two days after a snowfall
