La Rosiere is a lovely resort offering spectacular views of the Tarentaise. The skiing is small but the runs are excellent with something for every ability, with the groomed piste being the highlight. Off piste is good here and easily accessible from the lifts (nothing too crazy). There are rarely queues for lifts which is refreshing compared to other resorts nearby. Skiing into Italy (La Thuile) is also fun and eating lunch there is a must, however I thought the skiing around La Rosiere was far superior. Restaurants and bars on the slopes are a bit limited but the ones that are there are good - however if you are there for a week you will be revisiting places. The town itself is small and pretty and is very family friendly, I was fortunate enough to stay free with Club Med which was excellent in La Rosiere but you don't get to experience the town to the full extent. Overall I think La Rosiere is fantastic if you are keen skiier but are happy to take a more laid back approach and aren't fussed about the apres.
