We discovered Warth about 15 years ago and have been skiing there ever since. It's a gorgeously unspoilt Austrian village with a few hotels and apartments, along with quiet nightlife, but as it links into the huge Arlberg ski area, you have access to a skier/snowboarder's dream. The Arlberg lift pass covers a vast area, with various types of well groomed slopes, in all difficulty categories perfect for beginners up to experts, plus a massive amount of fabulous off piste. It includes the resorts of Lech, St.Anton, Zurs, Stuben, Schrocken and St.Christophe. The Warth ski school and mountain guides for guided off piste skiing or boarding are excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly, plus speak very good English. The snow record for the whole area is fabulous and we have had many wonderful days skiing fresh powder. The Warth side of the area is usually the least crowded and we have rarely experienced queues for the lifts. The lift system itself is modern and well connected, with free ski buses too. Accommodation in Warth has always been great, and is more reasonably priced than hotels in Lech or St.Anton. We can personally recommend the Steffisalp, Wartherhof and Lechtalerhof Hotels which we have stayed in. All situated very close to the slopes, very comfortable with luxurious rooms, great food and spa facilities. We can't wait to return to Warth this year.
