Had 7 nights in Trysil over New Year early 2025. Really enjoyed the resort and have already booked to go back 3rd week in Jan next year. Despite being a peak week, it wasnt anywhere near as busy as French Alps resorts so lift queues werent crazy. However going 3 weeks later next Jan will mean even less time queuing. Accommodation is a lot cheaper as well. For groups, consider the Prestige apartments at the Radisson Blu which can only be booked via the official resort website called SkiStar. Pistes were well kept and groomed. Lots of lovely green and blue pistes that snake their way down through the trees, as well as the wide open slopes covering blues, reds and blacks. Food and drink wasnt the cheapest but lift passes and equipment hire was certainly cheaper than the alps. Overall, its a lovely friendly varied resort with enough variety for our groups skill level which is green, blue and some of the more gentler reds.
